  • Thanks so much for these great fishing tips!

  • great!!!

  • If you really want to know how to catch snook and learn how to catch big ones you should hire a guide. You can checkout my channel for the new Snook slideshow i just posted.

  • @OnShoreGuide True. Plus, really good guides are more teacher than anything.

  • Liter: a liquid measure

Leader: (in this video) fishing line/mono or wire.

    Editor: check your spelling. LOL

  • @conkyjoe litre is a liquid mesure, not liter

  • @donorcanvas When you learn how to spell, then you may have some credibility in your remark. FYI, LITER is the american standard spelling of the english spelling of LITRE. Have a look on your containers if you don't believe me.

  • @Limbofishful so i speak the Queens english instead of a bastardised version of it, litre is the correct spelling, you yanks just dont give a damn.....

  • @donorcanvas If you actually knew anything about the English language, you would know that the form of English spoken in the "colonies" is the truest form of English currently spoken.

  • @ApEx1HP and how do you figure that mate?

  • tom i bet he is the king of masterbaiting, quite the fisherman

  • i just HATE mono filament line

  • Love the gentlemen Tom is a wealth of information thats obvious. I could have REALLY done without the dude in brown but someones gotta ask the obvious. That was an AWESOME video great stuff I learned a few things and thats always good. I hope to see more from Tom!

  • Love the gentlemen Tom in the yellow shirt is a wealth of information thats obvious. I could have REALLY done without the dude in brown.

  • When I caught a snook all I did was cast a silver lure off the back of a moving boat and I hooked a huge one

  • This was a great and super informative video, and I highly recomend it. Thanks guys.. I hope you guys keep making more informative videos like this one.

  • yu zuri and maria are the best lures

  • Tom came to our fishing club a couple of Yrs ago and he does a casting demonstation where he will open your zipper from 20 ft away ! UNBELIVABLE !!!

  • best spot for fishing is juno bech peir injupiter mad snook the oter day i got a 40 pound snook

  • if anyone has been to marco island chum the water and u get jak, hammerheads, and stingrays all day

  • hey i go to sanibel island all the time for the vacation

  • i have the lure at 2:52

  • did you catch any snook with it?

  • Sanibel Island Beach + shrimp from the grocery store + 1st week of July = SNOOK!

  • that works if you have money to burn, much cheaper at a bait store

  • Informative snook video. Would like to see more Sun-Sentinel videos that focus on Broward/Dade fishing, including freshwater fish such as peacock bass.

  • Leader is the correct spelling, not liter like a liter of soda. Just thought I'd point that out.

  • You need a semicolon instead of a comma. Just thought I'd point that out.

  • Nice

  • I like squid for snook deedeedee

  • I love the knot. I'm going to use that from now on.

I caught a snook at the Fort Lauderdale inlet a few weeks ago. Too small to keep so I released him. I used a white and red Gotcha Lure with "NO" leader. I had something strong on that got off without breaking the line so I assume it was another snook, but a lot bigger. I know one guy who catches at least one keeper on a nightly basis. Go there at 3am. Just remember the regulations.

  • whats an appropiate leader length for a 20lb test line? thanks

  • 40 pd does fairly well...

  • About 2 or 3 feet. Don't waste too much, you'll have to replace your leaders frequently.

  • Good info, but listen guys: The best bait to use is live bait, and the magic ones are pilchards, a native baitfish to south florida. Fish them free lining, or under corks in the mangroves. Cast in shady areas or near overhanging branches. Look for humps, or suspended areas near islands for big snook. Hook through the lips, or the back. SET THE HOOK IMMEDIEATLY! The sharp gill plate will easily cut line, so use a 50-60 lb monofilament leader. Use medium hooks, and replace leaders frequently.

  • juno had at least 16 snook fished out of the water and BANITA!!!!

  • rod and reel pier, i fish there a TON
