A lion is better with far larger and less agile prey like the buffalo though. I saw a single lion mauled a massive buffalo by going to the to the rear. Buffalo can gore but their kicks are less effective.

Lions aren't starving to death. There may be less lions now than 50 years ago, but that is due to poaching. Lions were/are being killed for the sport, as well as poisioned, etc. There are plenty of zebra, antelope, and buffalo around. I would love to see the information/video on thos topic.

Usually the males don't get involved on hunts. They very rarely do. They just take the food once it's caught, and fight off other males

@halfbakedc00kie You are quite wrong. Actually, adult male lions will only get in on hunts whenever it's an animal that's too big for females to bring down, like water buffalos. Adult male lions hunt for themselves also when they move out of their own pride. They actually do hunt a lot.

the male does not know how to hunt . they only survive on nature because of the female they are actually the one who hunts the most . male could take only small prays not big ones like the zebra especially alone if he had a back up help for sure that would be the best meal of the day . lol

Zebra's are usually between 14-15hands high so thats about 1.40m-1.50m from what i've read, and male lions can get to 1.30m high at the head.. Their manes make them look bigger too.

A hind kick from a zebra could easily kill a male lion if it gets a decent shot. They have been known to also kill crocs. Their powerful legs are for running but also become a weapon.

Yeah sure. The point is that I love ALL animals. I don't even particularly like how ANY of the big cats have to survive. For them to live other animals have to die and not even a particularly nice death. Now you either believe in evolution and the survival of the fittest or in some Grand Master plan but whateva you believe if you love animals you don't really rejoice in the death of any animals. The thing which annoys me about this channel is its obvious bias against only ONE of the big cats.

yeah, it is bias against one big cat. About them eating tho, they only take what they need. We humans rape the world of every thing, and cruely slaughter billions of farm stock beings each year, and in horrifc ways. Their poor lives are sad , long, and torture. I am vegan. I do rejoice in any death, but animals HAVE to do it, and they only do it as needed. I can not watch! I do not like how some are eaten alive! Leopards,Cheetahs at least make sure they are dead.

They are starving to death. Lions population is down 1000% in the last 9 years. 80% of cubs don't make it to the age of 2, most starving to death. Loss of habitat, natural disasters, most lions do starve to death, I can upload a video on that topic if you'd like?

Lions aren't starving to death. There may be less lions now than 50 years ago, but that is due to poaching. Lions were/are being killed for the sport, as well as poisioned, etc. There are plenty of zebra, antelope, and buffalo around. I would love to see the information/video on thos topic.
