Thank you for making the time to ... um ... make these videos. I've learned a lot from you so far. It does sadden me that I bought the same tool poster at a show years ago and gave it away to an ex-girlfriend and have to be tortured by it... :)
Do you use the Line 6 Spider IV in this video aswell? I really like the sound you get, and i was considering buying a new amp. Also, Shecter guitars rule!
@Endelmos I'm not sure what I used for this video haha. I'm pretty impressed with the line 6 I have (15w spider III). Not bad for a little practice amp. Check out their new DT25 amp
Dude, I've already thanked you before, but I just have to comment on how awesome and helpful these lessons are. I have one question though, I've been playing guitar for just over a year now, and a lot of my compositions are too jumbled in terms of genre and character. I mean, my influences keep on changing. As in, I'll decide to go Tool-esque one day, and (of all bands) Kasabian the other day. I like too many forms of music. How do I channel my influences without sounding immature ?
@panniize Thanks! You've only been playing for about a year so be patient. I know that's hard but your still (and always will be) growing as a player. Not only technique and performance but writing and composing as well. Not everything you write will be a masterpiece and not everything should. Just keep writing, you still developing your voice. Use some composition experiments ie, try to write in the style of or incorporate a certain idea.
People who ask for tabs aren't real musicians. If you are a musician, listen to it and figure it out. Even if you can't do that pause...look at his fuckin' fingers!!
@AquaClerk Don't be so hard on people :) Everything is transcribed you can read the music and see the rhythm notation. Your not going to get a work as a musician if you can't read...
i would have liked to hear all the riffs in succession at the end. just to get a better understanding of the entire flow. great ideas and explanation though.
@metalbass211 Thank you. I'll keep that in mind for future lessons. Feel free to check out the song, it's called Type 12. You can check out the entire album if your so inclined :) stemny.com under the music tab.
@axeofcreation cool... i'll do that. keep the lessons comin man. i watched them all today and found a lot of them useful. check out my channel and playing vids if you can.
I'm so glad I decided to go on your channel, you have to be one of the best Youtube guitarist's ever. Seriously your lessons are a whole different world of playing for me so thank you very much for making these lessons!
Great video dude! Been through every video of yours and must say, they're all great and are helping me quite a bit! So thanks for that! I just wanted to ask you, do you have like a myspace of Reverbnation page where you put all your music up? It would be great if I could listen to this song in particular, cuz I feel it'll probably gimme a better feel of understanding what you're trying to convey. Thanks again!
Very inspiring, yet another good lesson by you!
