@bago510 Why repeat the tired old lies of the big, wealthy media companies and billionaire criminal Soros?
Not capable of understanding reality or thinking for yourself? If you could you would know that the Tea Parties are a genuine grass-roots movement (unlike the Occupy astroturf, where unions and former-ACORN pay protesters) that has succeeded beyond its founders' hopes.
just so you shitbags know. THE ONLY THING BETWEEN MY BULLETS AND YOUR SKANKY COMMUNIST PIECE OF SHIT HEADS IS THE CONSTITUTION! WITHOUT IT... YOU'RE DEAD
The Tea Party was co-opted, and crashed into a ditch. Dont get mad at REAL activists because your racist movement was a miserable failure. Orange County set precedent the other day when their city council unanimously agreed that Tents = free speech. This Tea Bagger has a problem with people sleeping at the civic center, but not the thousands of homeless veterans sleeping on the streets because the city has failed them? Get a life.
You are simply lying. The Tea Party is neither a failure (having helped elect many politicians) nor racist. On the other hand the Occupy protests are racist. No-one has ever shown any racist incident from Tea Parties, although the CBC lied about one. I have seen video of racism at Occupy protests and racist violence from union thugs against Tea Party allies.
Also also! the guy who died was not a result of our encampment. He jumped of of a parking structure. Its sad but that has nothing to do with our protest. if you want to criticize make sure its valid or else you just look like you're trying to fulfill your own hidden agenda.
@SoNSanDiego "LOL" is not the appropriate thing to type before writing "sorry he died." Nice. Also, i didn't know the guy, why are you apologizing to me??
Also folks remember you can't believe everything you read on the internet (anyone can post anything and pretend to be anyone). So when someone on this message board says we are here to overthrow the government remember it's called the shield of anonymity. You have it too use it responsibly. also come out and support our movement!!
We are not radicals. Most of America supports us. This isn't a fringe movement. join us. Come down for a meeting sometime folks. everyone is really nice and will be glad to explain anything that may be unclear to you about the movement.
-Environmental engineering student SDSU (not an anarchist, not a communist, Not lazy)
@MrPhilvilla - Some of the people may be just naive, useful idiots, but I saw all of the revolutionary literature communist/anarchist literature and references to Che at the protest. Occupiers at the City Council meeting compared the protest to those in Tunisia and Egypt, whose purpose was to overthrow the Government. Sorry, this is a goofy wanna be revolutionary protest. Lies aren't going to deceive many people. Most people don't know yet what this crackpot movement is about.
@SoNSanDiego UMM its about the citizens united ruling. its about the destruction of the Glass Steagall act. It's about the ridiculousness of the revolving door. It's about our politicians working for the benefit of corporate interests. It's about your vote not counting for much. Where's the crackpot?? yes there are some communists and anarchists down there. What's wrong with that? Its a political philosophy, just like capitalism or socialism.
@SoNSanDiego Me too. You don't know anyone down there. You looked at them, then labeled them. Some are homeless. some are not. I know people down there. I AM one of the people down there. Why don't you come say hi sometime, in person. Then we can have a real conversation instead of you simply calling us names.
@geminidave Doesn't he have a right to express his opinion before elected officials? While his video had superimposed pejorative remarks about the protesters, his speech before the city council stated undisputable fact. The law is for everyone in the land and should not be applied on a pick and choose basis. Our government has no business selecting winners and losers.
@geminidave I agree that our government has large amounts of corruption, but despite my absolute detestation for the President, I do not support overthrowing our government. There are mechanisms built into our republic for bringing about change peacefully and orderly, which I intend to exhaust before resulting to other measures.
@geminidave I guess I am on a different timetable than yours. I only hope that if you are successful, it results in a government that obeys its people.
Who are you to call them "crackpots and spoiled brats"??????/ Yeah, maybe one or two of them took it too far!!! HOWEVER, THE REAL ISSUE IS JUST THAT A REAL ISSUE!!! Get the f**k off your high horse and do something to help our country and the millions of people who are the 99%!!! Crackpots my butt!!!! You're the crackpot!! You fricking teapartiers who want to see the world go to hell in a handbasket!!!!
@suzyq2cu TEA Partiers are trying to AVOID the country going to hell in a handbasket, and if that means destroying the one world order movement to achieve that, so be it. Most of the 1% have earned their money, why should they be penalized for being successful. Instead of being jealous and petty, go out and make money that qualifies you to be part of the 1%. I am not rich, but it doesn't bother me that there are billionaires.
@chromie55 no one believes that the wealthy should be penalized for being rich or working hard. If you look at the policies OWS are protesting, it's the unfairness of the current tax policy, which is so rigged in favor of those who know how to work the system, that no one else can get ahead. The protesters want to work hard and get rich, too! (or, if not rich, at least comfortable) But a great percentage of the population simply can't get a foothold. THAT'S what's being protested.
@faelanae Thanks for the civil discourse. Please help me understand your position. I agree with you that the tax policy is unfair because not everyone has "skin" in the game. If living here is worthy of being taxed, then all (with the possible exception of those living below the poverty threshold) should pay an equal percentage of taxes relative to their income. Why should the more successful pay more than the next person? Bonuses shouldn't have been issued by companies that were bailed out.
@chromie55 that's where the tea partiers and OWSers agree. In fact, most of my friends (moderately conservative to liberal) all think that a progressive tax policy exactly as you describe - an equal percentage for everyone - is fair and will help us get out of this ditch. But when tax policies get distorted through various loopholes, the system breaks down and you get what we have now. The disagreement seems to be mostly about what happens to the money once collected.
@faelanae That is the beauty of a flat tax, no loopholes. Since everyone is paying their fair and equal share, then politicians can't throw sympathy legislation to buy relief for their wealthy donors. As for what the money is spent on when it is collected, I favor what is specifically outlined in the Constitution--which limits how much the government can be in our personal lives and liberties. I do not favor redistribution of weath of any kind, as it is theft & violates individual rights.
@chromie55 I suppose the question then, is, how do you define "redistribution"? As a progressive, I'm in favor of making sure that when people are down on their luck, they can get a hand to get back on their feet. I'm also in favor of programs that keep everyone healthy and educated so they can pursue success that makes the rest of us better off. I know that a few people who don't deserve it will find the weak spots, but I don't want to kneecap everyone else so those few trolls can't succeed
@faelanae I define redistribution as when it is taken from me after I've worked hard for it and give it to someone else who has not. Believe me, I am not without compassion. I just believe that volunteer community and faith-based organizations are the means for helping those truly in need. It was how it was done before Big Brother came in and started fleecing its citizens. As for the undocumented ppl., a ticket home is all I would provide, or it entices others to dilute the largess for the poor.
@chromie55 the problem with purely voluntary community services is that they're wildly inconsistent in application. There are too many people in need for those services to support (look at how many of them get public and government grants because individual donations aren't enough), Think about it: If you're a non-profit who has no idea how much money you'll get in a month or a year, how can you even plan what services to offer, or how many ppl to hire? Who said anything abt undocumented ppl?
@faelanae I brought up undocumented ppl because I believe they generally undermine our sovereignty and elections, and more importantly take away resources that would be available for our needy citizens. This is important because I believe our govt. has an obligation to its citizens first and foremost, and my policy would free up money for education and other assistance for them.
@chromie55 I'd be rather curious to know what percentage of resources are utilized by illegals. I'm also in favor of immigration reform, but a lot of farmers are unable to find field workers because a) American's won't work for those wages and b) border patrols have been successful. I don't know the answer to that, honestly. But I think that the fear of illegal aliens is overblown, as a way to keep people afraid. I just don't think the impact is really as big as is made out.
@faelanae Your statement about fear being overblown has some validity. However, as a resident of a border state, I have seen our citizens brutalized and victimized by migrant workers first hand. I support orderly immigration and non-porous borders. My faith teaches me to love my neighbor, regardless of who or what they are, so I do. However, wanting to preserve our sovereignty and our borders is hardly fearmongering or irrational. I am for immigration reform if it mandates order and control.
@chromie55 I've also worked hard for my money, & voluntarily give some of it away to groups trying to make the world better. And yeah, maybe those groups will help those who haven't worked as hard, but most likely, they've either not had my luck or education, or born with smarts. I refuse to believe that the majority of the folks hurting out there deserve their pain. Because government is in a unique position to help ppl efficiently and at scale, I am happy to pay up. Everyone deserves a shot.
@faelanae I don't believe that ppl deserve their pain, but I have a problem with the govt. telling me who I should give my money to. I have served this country for 20 years making barely sustainable money because I believe in my country and its citizens. Now that I am making a little better money, I do not need the govt. to help themselves to my hard earned cash for programs I don't support. I prefer to take the money I've earned and put it to causes and organizations I believe in.
@chromie55 EVERYONE has government projects that they don't support, but that doesn't mean that the philosophy is bad (if you define the philosophy as being that people, more efficiently through some agency, should help support their neighbors). It just means that we have to work to cut out the cancers, though we all define them differently. I believe in the big-picture purpose of government, and there are areas we can all agree are out of date or aren't working efficiently. Let's focus there
@faelanae I guess that is where you and I respectfully disagree. I don't believe that we should support our neighbors through a govt. agency, but through voluntary charitable organizations. However, I also believe that you are correct in that we should focus on where we do agree and make changes there first. After that, we can turn to the points of disagreement (hopefully in a mutually respectful manner).
@chromie55 If we evenly spread the entirety of our wealth amongst everyone in the nation NO ONE would be considered "rich" much-less anywhere near the status of the top 1%. That means for 1% of the population to control 40% of the wealth there has to be many many more penniless, homeless, starving individuals on the streets. 400 people in this nation have more money than 150 MILLION combined. Remember that when you are telling people to become part of the 1%.
@suzyq2cu - I've been there, heard them and saw them. They are crackpots and loons. What can I say? What's the point of these people sleeping in the plaza for weeks? We heard the anti-capitalism, anti-Jew message already. Get a life. Go back to work or to school.
@SoNSanDiego, The economy is busted, there aren't enough jobs and the universities are increasing tuition. Student have taken out loans and can't afford tuition, and will be lucky to find a starter job fr their career. Some may become military officers, or enlisted, but they would be a few.
@suzyq2cu, I'm 57 years old, graduated hs in 1972, oined the US Navy, and retired in 1992. I worked on/off until Feb 2008. I got sick, and was laid off. I got off my high horse in 2005 and joined SaveOurState and the Minutemen to protest for secure borders and immigration enforcement. I joined a local TEA PARTY last year to join in a political effort to reduce the government and return the Republic our fore fathers gave us. Minutemen and TEA Party needs younger members.
@suzyq2cu I would answer your question by saying that @SoNSanDiego is an American with the same freedom of speech as the "crackpots and loons", as they called them, and thus can call them whatever the heck they want to. Or are you one of those who think that freedom of speech only goes one way, your way? That smacks of communism to me.
I can make out the image of a young boy, his brow furrowed in confusion, holding the hand of his father. "Who are they, Daddy?" he asks as hearses containing bloated, lifeless bodies roll by. "Who are those people they speak of?" The father will lower his head and say, "There, my son, go the remains of tea-baggers, the most homophobic, racist, bigoted, hypocritical lumps of festering dog shit in the history of America. May the likes of them never again soil or tarnish our great country."
@SecretGerms Your prototypical tirade no longer has effect. Conservatives have begun to cease being civil with you because you no longer matter. Despite his promises of unification, we could not be more divided as a nation under Obama. I am to the point that I almost welcome inevitable conflict between our two factions, as I am tired of paralyzed govt. & insane laws that infringe on my rights as a taxpayer & legal citizen of this country. Thank goodness our side believes in arming itself!
@chromie55 cool story, bro. now, go tell someone who gives a fuck about your insipid, feeble-minded views. by the way, the country is divided because people like you spend way too much time with your heads up the assholes of limbaugh, hannity, beck, coulter, malkin, o'reilly, levin, etc. try thinking for yourself, instead of regurgitating what filthy rich "conservatives" tell you, for just once, ok?
@SecretGerms I must have gotten under your skin with the truth, which is why you went directly for the ad hominem attacks. It only goes to show that your position is weak and your ilk will be defeated during the great conflict. FYI, I don't listen to Limbaugh, and I catch my news from a variety of sources including the Web, CNN, BBC, and Fox News. The problem is that you can't stand that someone else has a differing point of view.
@chromie55 The Bennett child is wandering around an abandoned mine with a new friend, and while looking for desert eccentric Cap’n Billy, the girl heads straight into the rabbit love nest. There, before her, is Billy, torn to shreds and quite likely stone dead. She freaks the fuck out, and uses the opportunity to insert a bizarre montage of screams, rabbit teeth, a sweaty face, and bloody fur. Well, mutilated bodies don’t lie, and quite soon, a poor truck driver is savaged while stopping to pee.
@chromie55 who is this "god" you speak of? is he the one who also hates mexicans, jews, blacks, homosexuals, women, muslims, asians... well, anyone who isn't a white, middle-aged male (that thinks they know there is a "god).
@SecretGerms I don't want to get into a theological debate, but I will share this much with you. My God does not promote hatred of any kind, regardless of their ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. It is my belief in God that propels me to get up early on Saturday mornings to feed the poor, provide youth activities, and assist the elderly. So not all faiths are equal my friend.
@chromie55 my "god" propels me to eat some ben & jerry's, masturbate to lesbian porn, then go to sleep. my "god" obliterates yours. goodnight, sweetie pie. ; )
@SecretGerms and just how are the tea party going to die? you are unarmed worthless pieces of shit. how are you going to kill us? with your odors? why dont you move to north korea shitsain
@SecretGerms, I take offense to that. TEA Party is there for everybody, regardless of political party. It's a local political education and coordination venue where issues are worked on. That being said, I like how GA is communicated. We are all US Citizens. Point being we have common ground opposing Wall Street Power Lobby that controls our political process. Occupy exposed Wall Street as Minutemen exposed open borders.
Occupy shifts paradigm and transfers pain as taxes pay cop OT and benes
as someone that does not support the tea part(that is my choice) i do support what you are saying here about the occupy movement we have the same issue here in portland i will share this video on my facebook and g+ account
@jedi1701a - The Tea Party is not monolithic. There are a lot of different people involved. The protestors should be made to obey the law. Otherwise, they will just push the limits as far as they can. It is easier to start early, than wait until it gooes too far.
@theoneilovemost - You don't have the right to violate city ordinances. The city is giving them special treatment. They don't let the homeless have tents and camp out. Why should these people be allowed to camp out, when they don't let the homeless do it?
@SoNSanDiego oh btw, calling us anarchists and Marxists is a stereotype, but if this guy believes in set stereotypes then by the same logic he is a racist just for being a Tea Party activist
@theoneilovemost - The has been Marxist and anarchist slogans, symbols and books all over your illegal encampment. The Nazis happened to have endorsed OWS and not the Tea Party. The Nazis know a racist movement when they see one.
@SoNSanDiego Homeless people do have tents and camps. Try going to downtown San Diego sometime. That's the place that we're talking about. and they're "allowed" to because they don't have homes. Hence the term, "homeless."
@MrPhilvilla - I go downtown all the time and have been to 15th and Island, the center of the homless area. I believe I saw one tent and it had a wheelchair inside of it, so they probably allowed it, because the guy was handicapped. In any case, if they allow it for homeless, who have no place to go, that does not mean they have to allow an exception to the law to a bunch of wanna-be revolutionaries, just because they want to raise a mob, with which to intimidate and disrupt businesses.

Some may become military officers, or enlisted, but they would be a few.
borderraven 3 months ago
@suzyq2cu, I'm 57 years old, graduated hs in 1972, oined the US Navy, and retired in 1992. I worked on/off until Feb 2008. I got sick, and was laid off. I got off my high horse in 2005 and joined SaveOurState and the Minutemen to protest for secure borders and immigration enforcement. I joined a local TEA PARTY last year to join in a political effort to reduce the government and return the Republic our fore fathers gave us. Minutemen and TEA Party needs younger members.
borderraven 3 months ago
@suzyq2cu I would answer your question by saying that @SoNSanDiego is an American with the same freedom of speech as the "crackpots and loons", as they called them, and thus can call them whatever the heck they want to. Or are you one of those who think that freedom of speech only goes one way, your way? That smacks of communism to me.

How is occupying a PUBLIC place illegal? I smell envy.

@LouieLudwig That smell is human excrement from the OWS protesters relieving themselves in the street and poluting our environment.

@SecretGerms - What a wonderful bunch of people you folks are. That's what they call humanism, I believe.
SoNSanDiego 4 months ago
@SecretGerms Your prototypical tirade no longer has effect. Conservatives have begun to cease being civil with you because you no longer matter. Despite his promises of unification, we could not be more divided as a nation under Obama. I am to the point that I almost welcome inevitable conflict between our two factions, as I am tired of paralyzed govt. & insane laws that infringe on my rights as a taxpayer & legal citizen of this country. Thank goodness our side believes in arming itself!
chromie55 4 months ago
@chromie55 cool story, bro. now, go tell someone who gives a fuck about your insipid, feeble-minded views. by the way, the country is divided because people like you spend way too much time with your heads up the assholes of limbaugh, hannity, beck, coulter, malkin, o'reilly, levin, etc. try thinking for yourself, instead of regurgitating what filthy rich "conservatives" tell you, for just once, ok?
SecretGerms 4 months ago

SecretGerms 4 months ago
@SecretGerms I don't want to get into a theological debate, but I will share this much with you. My God does not promote hatred of any kind, regardless of their ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. It is my belief in God that propels me to get up early on Saturday mornings to feed the poor, provide youth activities, and assist the elderly. So not all faiths are equal my friend.

@SecretGerms and just how are the tea party going to die? you are unarmed worthless pieces of shit. how are you going to kill us? with your odors? why dont you move to north korea shitsain
strawbary 3 months ago
@SecretGerms, I take offense to that. TEA Party is there for everybody, regardless of political party. It's a local political education and coordination venue where issues are worked on. That being said, I like how GA is communicated. We are all US Citizens. Point being we have common ground opposing Wall Street Power Lobby that controls our political process. Occupy exposed Wall Street as Minutemen exposed open borders.
Occupy shifts paradigm and transfers pain as taxes pay cop OT and benes

as someone that does not support the tea part(that is my choice) i do support what you are saying here about the occupy movement we have the same issue here in portland i will share this video on my facebook and g+ account
jedi1701a 4 months ago
@jedi1701a - The Tea Party is not monolithic. There are a lot of different people involved. The protestors should be made to obey the law. Otherwise, they will just push the limits as far as they can. It is easier to start early, than wait until it gooes too far.
SoNSanDiego 4 months ago
HA! And he calls himself a tea party activist, read the constitution more often buddy, we have the right to peacefully assemble
theoneilovemost 4 months ago 2
@theoneilovemost - You don't have the right to violate city ordinances. The city is giving them special treatment. They don't let the homeless have tents and camp out. Why should these people be allowed to camp out, when they don't let the homeless do it?
SoNSanDiego 4 months ago
@SoNSanDiego oh btw, calling us anarchists and Marxists is a stereotype, but if this guy believes in set stereotypes then by the same logic he is a racist just for being a Tea Party activist
theoneilovemost 4 months ago
@theoneilovemost - The has been Marxist and anarchist slogans, symbols and books all over your illegal encampment. The Nazis happened to have endorsed OWS and not the Tea Party. The Nazis know a racist movement when they see one.
SoNSanDiego 4 months ago
@SoNSanDiego, Nope, the Nazis align with the Patriots, but the Minutemen don't allow racists.
borderraven 3 months ago
@borderraven Actually the official US Nazis approve of OWS
randomxnp 3 months ago
@randomxnp - The American Nazi Party and David Duke endorsed the movement. That's is not all of them or the "official ones."
SoNSanDiego 3 months ago
@theoneilovemost, If you ain't anarchist or Communist, then what is your agenda?
borderraven 3 months ago
@SoNSanDiego Homeless people do have tents and camps. Try going to downtown San Diego sometime. That's the place that we're talking about. and they're "allowed" to because they don't have homes. Hence the term, "homeless."
MrPhilvilla 3 months ago
@MrPhilvilla - I go downtown all the time and have been to 15th and Island, the center of the homless area. I believe I saw one tent and it had a wheelchair inside of it, so they probably allowed it, because the guy was handicapped. In any case, if they allow it for homeless, who have no place to go, that does not mean they have to allow an exception to the law to a bunch of wanna-be revolutionaries, just because they want to raise a mob, with which to intimidate and disrupt businesses.
