WHY TAKE SO MUCH TROUBLE. JUST USE VLC PLAYER LATEST VERSION, GOTO TOOLS-EFFECTS AND FILTERS-VIDEO EFFCETS. YOU HAVE EVERYTHING THERE.

FFDshow is C.R.A.P!! When I had it installed, it created about a three foot gap in my "Add and Remove Progams" Application. I removed it and the "gap" was gone! Do your self a favor and Get rid of it!!

there are much better codecs. I dont know what they are but there was no good change when FFDshow was installed or after removing it. ffdshow was fuckin up my computer. made it next to impossible to watch anything with 20 little FFD icons appearing in the corner of the screen. some program installed it and there was no uninstall option anywhere.

ffdshow is really cool. but i still cannot figure out how to make it display full screen in WMP. I run vista and it is a pain, Anyway luckily FFdshow tryouts comes with MPC. Since i downloaded it i do not think i have used Wmp once. But i am still anxious to know if it is even possible to make WmP display video in full screen. I could do it on xp but not vista.

Also they relesed media player homecinema recently. it is very good and uses different codecs that can play a bigger variety of stuff.

If I was to burn an avi file to a disc using Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 Suite could I use the program itself to increase the video quality or if I used the program you spoke about in the video to increase the quality on the file would that make it appear in great quality on a dvd once burned? First of all, go to start->programs->ffdshow->audi­o/video decoder configuration and select codecs tab, and select libavcodec for all of them. Hope it helps!

Don't use my settings use whatever looks best to you and depending on the video. Aspect ratio doesn't crop anything it resizes it to that ratio.
