  • Yes, the mine across the creek was a limestone quarry as well. Not so sure they are still using it, not been back there in some time. Most mining is now across I-75 near Livingston. The mine over there is on the spur that tunnels under the highway at Buzz and started loading rail cars a few years back. The rail line & tunnel near the video is the old L&N mainline between Cincinnati and Corbin and is somewhat busy, maybe 20 trains per day. I grew up in Corbin but hit the caves near here often

  • That's not a coal mine. It the old limestone quarry at Mullins Station. Still a neat place. There is an active CSX RR tunnel right next to it.
