And another thing, why so much hatred for Shayne Corson in these comments? I didn't think he was a guy that was hated as much as he appears to be based on what I've read here.
At this stage of their careers, Donnelly was a better fighter than Corson. This fight was in the 1987-88 season and Donnelly was one of the best fighters in the NHL at the time. Corson got off to a bad start and couldn't recover as Donnelly threw rapid fire lefts to overpower Corson.
After this season, Donnelly moved on to Winnipeg and he wasn't the same fighter as he was in Quebec. And Corson got tougher in the following seasons, so to say Corson would lose every time to Donnelly is a joke.
yo BIZZANGLE,great comment bro.i did not like corson either, but the guy was damn good as u say.but gotta love gord, very underrated as a fighter, which is weird, because he was one of the best.take care bro.
I played with Gord's brother Frank and I think he was better! He signed down in the States and never got the exposure that Gord got and never made the NHL.
Shut up you twat...Canucks fans are overzealous fanatical retards lacking in the class department. Fucking redneck BC idiots.
I am not particularly a Corson fan per say but the guy was a great power forward in his career and should be appreciated by all hockey fans in SPITE of what a douche he could be sometimes

CLEAR WIN G.Donnelly.
Corson went down, losing his balance and Donnelly took over well.

@MrJuha82 well if ya call going down after getting punched in the head a bunch of times, losing his balance, then, so be it...

if those guys fought 20 times it would be an identical result every time. Corson liked to act tough; Donnelly was tough
