  • When one purchases a lower receiver in California, it is most likely DROS'ed (Dealer Records of Sales) as a long gun. Pistol are very specific when it is DROSed by Caliber, Make and Model. Long Arms are not specific in DROS. If the firearms is not purchased as a complete Pistol, it is most likely DROSed as a long gun.

  • Dont know California laws but in my state the lower receiver is not made in tell you put the part in it but first you must say before you buy it that you want a pistol and part can not be in the receiver before you buy it there for it is a firearm not anything but .and i keep copies of the buy that state that it is a pistol not a SBR
