Starting blue instead of doing wolves before blue. lol.

@rekenner That tactic is used so that you can go back to wolves right after wraiths. The goal is to farm and level faster, and is much more prominent on junglers like skarner. Doing blue through red is just to get buffs as fast as possible and instantly start ganking. Rammus gets his gold/exp from assists and kills, not farming.

with GA you can appear to be a kill for the enemy, making them focus you, and you just die and GA res, normally you cant do that. yes you cant be tanky but the enemy wont just focus you and think oh look a kill for me. in a chaotic teamfight a GA can.

but thats not even the reason. biggest reason is the massive stats it will give for randuins.

@WQLFY For me when I see a enemy with GA it is more like " Oh look who I am not going to touch till everyone else is dead." Which for a tank is not very nice. Maybe throwing a Giants Belt before the GA would work for me and I do see the boost to being randuins being good, but that is also not an item I always build on rammus.

Rammus shield gives hundreds of armor etc, for some sec, use randuin in this time and it will last entire teamfight, its simply like riot didnt think about rammus when making that item. its a Reason to play rammus. Not building it on him is like telling a girl not to wear her kinky rubber outfit.

I always start health regen in jungle, then get double gp5 before 10 mins, have you tried this? I think it works alot better than cloth armor especially gold wise, plus it lowers your need for blue so you mid can take it. The only downfall I see when comparing the two is your top lane gank would be weaker due to slightly less hp and armor, but I think overall it would be for the best, and I've been telling people randuins is OP on rammus forever, good to see someone agreeing.
