  • why this song is not downloading,./

  • really d song is very nice ,especially d piano is played very well

  • great great melodious song.

  • tears streaming down my eyes!!!!!!!

  • is there anything less than A+ ? ... lyrics, music, cinematography, sensuality, mature faces in casting, singer, "ALL A+, ... "truely a masterpiece.".. I believe mature actress and actor in song, are doing major value addtion for bringing such lovely feel.

  • The Pianist here is amazingggggggg!

  • what a poetic way of expressing love.....

  • the disadvantage of the upright piano is that you can't cast your black looks under the open lid as is usual in all those blackmail songs. of course, the lady here doesn't need to cast such looks.

  • nice song

  • very very melodeous

  • phenomenal composition by Hemant Kumar..touching lyrics by Kaifi Aazmi sahab and sung by the one and only nightingale, Lata Mangeshkar.

  • masterpiece by lataji.

  • हेमंतदा का कमाल है

  • very very sweet song

  • Great song!! every time i hear this song and see this lady in video..it reminds me of my girl. Its true ,this song has a magic.

  • immortal song.

  • i like this very much since my child hood

  • WOW - What a feast watching this song,..I would have watched this song 37 years ago, I cried then, I then cried today..God Bless !

  • htgajar i m sorry, i dont agree with u that its kids being stupid. its about making quick money so the marketing ppl want songs to come and go and not be evergreen like those in that era, they use marketing technology in such a way that the young generation are getting moulded in as they want them to, i m sure all young generation buddies very much still love this kind of songs in spite of all the brain wash.

  • What a Super Hindustani film Old is Gold Song where have they all gone. Sadly we do not hear such great songs anymore.

Sadly, today's Corrupt and Over Westernized Bollywood with over rated Khan KID or CHILD actors who cannot act are made famous by ignorant and stupid young generation of today who do not know what is a good acting, song, and music.

  • Beautiful song.

  • What a lovely song. Thanks for the upload.

  • The actress is Surekha ( not Shashikala) I did not see her in any movie either before or after this. This role also was quite small, since she dies at child birth in the movie. The child grew up as a very quiet, subdued girl,( played by Sharmila Tagore), because the father was very hostile to her, as he could never forgive her for the death of her mother ( whom he loved very intensely). Shashikala does appear in the movie later, as a very happy, talkative friend of Sharmila.

  • she is a wonderful actress.... where did she go

  • A moving and haunting song. One that stays in your head for days. The melody and lyrics are truly haunting. Particularly the phrase "yoon tadap ke na tadpaa mujhe baar baar." This song gives me a lift every time I hear it . Shashikala is a beauty and gorgeous. Romantic and a must-hear.

  • @ratnamicus

This is not Shashikala... But I dont know the actress singing this song... definitely the emotions in the song are very beautiful... and the same when she sings Rooth ke pahle jee bhar sataungi mein.....

  • good song

  • Absolute classic. Great music, poetry, acting.

  • yeh gana tab bhi acha laga tha jab 1st time suna tha or aaj bhi waisa hee hai

  • yeh gana tab bhi acha laga tha jab 1st time suna tha or aaj bhi waisa hee hai

  • A Classic from my school days. Haunting music.

  • No body can sing better than this on this earth --ever. We are really fortunate to alive to have this---thanks

  • A melodious song by Latha A nice old song...

  • bloody gorgeous song.

  • Such a beautiful song! Even after 50 years, it has remained so fresh and so lovely! The lyrics and the music are both simply incomparable. One of the best by Lata didi. Hats off to Hemanth Kumar as well for the excellent music.

  • EXCELLENT SONG.. Thanks a lot for the upload. 1950s-to 1990s was such a beautiful time in my life. Life was so simple, everybody had ample time to walk, to mix with others & not just talk like idiots on cellphones or work like donkeys or sit in front of idiot box....

  • @utkarshg1 How true Utkarsh ji..

  • @utkarshg1 well said

  • @utkarshg1 people that worked like donkeys are the ones that invented YouTube... you pay a price for everything

  • A very dear song sung nicely as usual by Latadidi!

  • I added my own lyrics to this melodious song in a new stranza as below:

Pyar ki iss hansi rut ka chhaya nasha....

Aaj Mujhko nahi hai khud mera pata.....

Unke aane se chhayee hai mujh pe bahar, koi aata hai......dheere dheere machal e dile-bekarar

  • @princeofhearts003 amazing... this should totally be in the song :-)

  • @cooldocGMC86 Thank you !!!

  • All the songs from Anupma were a great hit & so also the movie.

  • Caught up with this song after decades... wonderful feeling .

  • my favourite song...lata ji is great !

  • Movie's name is Anupama;Main hero was Dharmender & Sharmila tagore as the heroine,In fact Sharmila becomes the daughter of the two in the song, she dies while giving birth to Sharmila & Dad(Tarun bose ) hates the daughter throughout the movie

  • EXCELLENT COMPOSITION AND A VERY APTLY SITUATED SONG

  • Actually this actress is Surekha, not Durga Khote.

  • It really astonished me that this actress (Durga Khote) was 61 years old when she picturised this song because as per Wikkipedia, her year of birth is 1905.

While this actor, Tarun Bose, was only 38 when he performed in this song (his year of birth is 1928)

This means that she was 23 years elder than Tarun Bose.

  • @karachi111100 she is not durga khote.

  • which movie this song is from.does any one knows

  • Somebody said that the actress is Surekha Parkar

  • kHAYALI pULAO BANENA ME KOI NUKSAAN NAHIN

His fragrance in the air. His foot steps around. Let me adorn myself, for my beloved comes.

His shadows start touching me and shehnais play near my heart. My love sings in my dreams.

  • so true!

  • @mbomanji Because they aping the west and sex sells even the old folks are watching the garbage they show now hence the demand

  • i am still single.. any chance that i'll find a girl who sings while waiting for me at home and gives me tea when she realizes i am at the door.. i can sit and read newspaper as she hums the tune making dinner.. :-)

  • Sir ji please check near to you. app ko jarur apki anupama mil jayegi. God bless you.

  • I pray that you may find a girl for you. It is not possible to find good complete girls these days. Now a days the girls go for money, glamour, sensuousness.

  • :) :D

  • @rkbhushan The more important question is who would want to marry you. Losers shouldn't reproduce besides.

  • @rkbhushan ,

Bhushan sahab, these days it is better to help out your spouse when she is preparing dinner.....otherwise in the long run things get pretttty snippy :))) Aap purane zamane ki baat kar rahe hain :)

  • @bcr004 zamana kabhi pura nahi hota hum change ho jatay hain din ustrah niklata hay or chand bhi laken usko dekahnay or sochnay walay badal jatay hain

  • @atifali77

    Aap ne theek farmaya......

  • @rkbhushan: Oh I'm sure you'll find that "special someone", however you must make an effort to be special to that person as well..its both ways..:-) (just like in the movie, the guy is madly in love with his wife too).

  • @rkbhushan probably not...girls nowadays dont have that much time...make while dinner not waiting for you...maybe you will have to wait for her while she comes back from work..;)

  • @rkbhushan ...Give her LOADS of love and respect, and I'm sure she'll do all those things for you...!!!!

  • wat movie is this, who are the actors and the singers???....lovely song and wat subtle acting...how lovely

  • person who dislikes such melodious songs are either UBIs( Unfortunately born Indians) or are humans without sense of softness and romance in their lives...

  • Beauty as always! Sundartha ke mehek ko kutein kiya jane :)

  • i just love this song...dheere dheeere machal, aye dil-e-beqarar...koi ata hai..yun tarap ke na tarpa mujhe bar bar, koi ata hai :) ... SUPERB!!!

  • this song is so romantic..a true husband and wife moment there!!! the actress although slightly heavy is pretty...most actresses before were overweight yet looked so feminine..but the sticks we have now....jeez...forget it!! actresses in the past represented true indian beauty.....!! hats off....

  • horrible horrible comments for such a beatiful song.....sometimes i wonder r we doing justice by putting them up on youtube and subjecting them to comments from people like taurausbull.......sorry i have my doubt whether he is human or a pest.

  • actually those words were for the jerks the likes of "pundadah" who were vilifing this beautiful song.

  • really sad to these type of comments on such beautiful song...this can be a work of a person...who must have born in the fashion mentioned......cant change the mind of people..just need to ignore such stupids....

  • is this also from anupama?

  • So Sweet, Melodious and beautiful. Thanks for sharing...

  • yeahh really i cant even belive dis... tsk tsk i jst love the songgggg.... wow thanks for uploading this onee!!!!!! :D

  • I'm truly shocked to see some dirty comments

and abusive language used in the comment

box. I really can't believe that for a beautiful song

like this , 2 people can exchange such dirty&

filthy languge.Shame on you......Go to hell all you

stupid pigs! Hell is even a better place for rotten

    people like you!

  • With the exception of Kishor Kumar and Amitabh Bachan NO OTHER Indian ACTOR HAD THE ABILITY TO SING WITH THEIR OWN VOICE....

    They ALL lipsynced.

    Period

  • Geeta Dutt Did

    So did Suraiyaa

dont state something without confirming them for facts.

  • Kishore Kumar was the Greatest .Actor,Music Director,Singer,Film Producer .

  • talat mahmood. and please dont call amitabh a singer!

  • The funny thing is that the sound of piano is not continously coming but she is playing it continously lolzzz

  • So true, moreover the hand movements of a piano player are that of a striking movement and the elbows are steady. This looks like she were playing a harmonium with both hands. lol.

  • And what about the actual singing?

Of course she is Lip Syncing....

    you dummy, they are "EKTORS"....

    who act, pretend.

  • You are dumber. The acting has to be convincing and you cannot act as if you are playing a harmonium while you are made to sit at a piano. BTW, you are upset as if she were your mother, in that case I can understand where the dumbness came from.

  • I relish that, you live in the UK? Seriously? What pathetic standards have come to bearing in the little kingdom of our poor queen! Its "tongue in cheek" and you need to learn some basic spelling except the swear words which you seem to be using with perfection and panache. Someone who came out of a harlot's enhanced genitals, you show every sign of being mate. Hope you understand that kind of english though, I don't know. I will never stoop to the levels of a prostitue's kid like you.

  • It took you 5 months to make up this bunch of insults with appropriate grammar and punctuation? Congratulations! Its unfortunate that it took you that long but its true, there is proof further above that you have made some errors in the only language you are so proud of knowing. Thanks for the generous comment though. Sad you had to rule a third of the world in order to feel good about yourselves. Others are content without having murdered and plundered to improve their self-esteem.

  • Pundadah and Taurasbull, have you both completely gone crazy? Time to stop this nonsense. and by the way, go confess to your mothers what the two of you, especially you 'Pundadah' have been writing about. Pundadah needs to wash his hands with caustic soap and may be use it on his head too - you poor pathetic soul.

  • What is the name of the movie??

  • melodious songs truly, ultimate fantasy of a shy teenager

  • The heroine in this film was Sharmila Tagore. The actress in this song looks like Tarla who was Dharmendra's leading lady in Shola Aur Shabnam. Perhaps someone can confirm. Very nice melodoius song that certainly reminds me of my adolescent days.

  • The lady in this song is SUREKHA PARKAR who was in many other films like Aakhir Kyon? (1985) Jhutha Sach (1984) Sanam Teri Kasam (1982) Sant Gyaneshwar (1982) Aadmi Aur Insaan (196 Bombai Raat Ke Bahon Mein (1968) Do Dooni Char (1968) Mere Huzoor (1968 Faidous Anupama (1966) Aruna Aasmaan Mahal (1965) ) Salma Sant Gyaneshwar (1964) Mere Arman Mere Sapne (1963) v.k agarwal dehradun, india
  • @vkaaga002

thanks for removing confusion. I had been searching for hours to know the name of this actress.

In the case of the film on net I could not find her name. I thought of Dulari but she must be old at the time of this movie.

  • It was beautiful.

The hero is versatile, and the dialogues were natural and at the same time very meaningful.

Can you identify the heroine please?

    THanks for uploading.
