I used the rock-it launcher as my primary weapon from level 3 to level 20. Most of my inventory was filled with tin cans, cups, and burnt books.

While using that gun, I was able to stockpile all of my other ammo, so I had thousands of rounds for all of my guns when I started the main quest at level 20. I took all of those rounds, and pressed them into 5mm, which gave me 30,000 rounds for Eugene... The aliens in Mothership Zeta didn't stand a chance.

try the woodchipper(50 wght heavy) or the garden gnome(aerodynamic, and the most satisfying way is with a teddy bear(loves you to death)

To get Rock-It Launcher without killing Moira or paying, you can kill one of the Traveling Salesman and steal his key to his supplies and open the cow things pack and it will be listed in there if he sold it.

the easiest way to get a rock it launcher is to go to megaton go to craterside supply kill moria brown try to find book and take her keys if u dont find book in her body check all cabinets and use the key to open it :)

l there is a way 2 get it other then buying it..blow her away with hunter rifle or shot gun..ive done it..jsut make sure no 1 gets out and kill everyone in the store orelse u gota fight the town

the rock-it launcher is actually one of the shittiest weapons in the game because damage is based on the weight of the junk you fire, and most of the shit you find in the wasteland weighs 1wg or less. its only actual purpose is making witty one liners. ex. after killing a man with a cigarette; "smoking kills."

big gun skill was only 20. chems do the trick. Alcohol, Jet, NC Quantum and buffout. Agilty and perception also help to get good hits with most weapons. I set both skills at about 8 when I created my character.
