  • I wonder why the fuck people starts insulting you for not knowing every single thing there is to know.

I mean, seriously, what the hell's up with that? You don't go bashing people in the fucking head for not knowing where a certain town in a random country is exactly, do you?

  • Moreso that someone who's insulting me and trying to correct me at the same time describes 8-Bit Peoples as "a website thing". :D

  • Wow a Chiptunes version of Kraftwerk

Next they should do a Crazy version of Crazy Taxi

  • Nullsleep rocks!

Man I just love this music, my skin is rising to the roof

  • Smamchip

Actually, you can hook a computer keyboard up to a gameboy to shift the octaves and notes etc, which makes it bery similar to playing a live instrument! nullsleep does it for a few of his songS!

  • listen on HIFI (ther website) and enjoy how much could people do with 8bit chipsets... great cover by the way

  • blip blop 4 lyfe <3

  • finkster101:

Nullsleep uses the Game Boy tracker (music making) software called Little Sound Dj. It's like a sequencer, so you can't play it like a piano, but it has got a live mode that lets the musician 'steer' the whole song , some make little changes when they play live, some just wave their game boy around and look cool, I often pan some channels left-to-right and stuff. So, no, he's not really playing it like you play a piano, that would have been impossible :)

  • impossible is null.

is there a way to connect the gameboy to a MIDI interface?

  • of course, now if you want it to function, you must learn electronics :)

  • Could be, but I found that the interface is already there (search on Nanoloop page).

The thing is, that only the timecode / bpm data can be sent, so no note on/off.

I'm pretty sure there's some hacker out there who managed to bypass that limitation, but I'll read up on that when I'm done reading about truecrypt atm.

  • Arduinoboy.

  • yep, there's a cartridge called Pushpin, which turns the GBC to a MIDI instrument. You're gonna also need a small device converting MIDI singnals to those of the GBC port.

  • does he actually play during performance?

    and if yes how?

  • good question .. i wanna know too ...

  • i live 4 blip, bleep & blop 0__o

  • cool this was just yesterday. great night.
