the last time l went to a Industrial club, it was like watching fish in a bowl with all these safety goths swaggering around like some popularity contest. l don't know how the scene turned into this, whether it was the rise of "aggrotech" or some crappy trend.
Rhythm Of Time What's outside? The beat of the nation The stadium of Zonk The heart of the city The real world Retaliation Burning flags The pressure of daily life Nothing to be afraid of We believe in the future of the human race What's inside? The pulsing blood Turmoil and chaos Noises, images The rhythm of time We dream of the mating season Feel a coming tidal wave We want to run but cannot move 'Cause we're embedded in concrete
come on Sixty three Who's mister X? Get up We live in a fairy tale We swim along with the whales We dream of evergreen trees Wake up in heart-rending cries Good morning What's above Desire, survival An almighty God Like a hanging sword New planets to conquer

front 242 was really exciting in the late 80s and early 90s. they were played on night trax n TBS a lot and were huge just below the mainstream. those were exciting times, anything could be played on tv.
yeah I finally saw Single White Female a while back. But wtf is with that dude with all the tubes sticking out and the missing frame in the glasses? I think it's good stuff.
Saw this on MTV back in '91, at a time when they actually played music that mattered, long before crap like Britney Spears. You wouldn't find anything like this in any of her videos, though I *would* like to see her get mowed down by that flying spiked ball! :)
I love seeing this video being played in the movie "Single White Female". It's how should listen to Front 242....blasted way up pissing off the neighbors with a chick strapped to a chair...lol.
you don't know who they r??? dude, r u less than 22 years old?? well, they were and rm this underground-industrial european band of the late 80's...have u heard HEADHUNTER? check it out. u might remember it! :)
i hate the indutrial scene nowday. i cant stant the whole goth thing. i just what to dance to EBM and get drunk off my ass, not wearing black and white make up and pretending to be deep and dark. bring back the old school! we dont want no goth kids.
Around here(California)it seems you cannot really find a goth club than doesn't rely atleast somewhat on EBM. I lean more towards EBM myself, but where genres are not particularly strong, clubs dj's have to incorporate a broader spectrum. Besides, who said you have to wear make-up? Or are you simply stating you do not want goths at EBM clubs?
the techno-industrial scene is pretty non-exisitant and what you've got are goth losers who have the money, they get the clubs so everyone has to deal with their bullshit.
luckilly a lot of electro-clash/wave/techno/ebm 80s style places are around again cranking out good dj music.
so you've got a lot that 80s techno element in the electro stuff. thus goth has gone by the way side and crashed. =))))))))
Yeah, I had the DJ spin Mindphaser and all these dam kids quit dancing. I was like... WHAT!!. If it wasn't for the old material, then you will have Wumpscut, Suicide commando shit, or some hard ponding crap witch I'm tired of. Sometimes I feel like leaving after the 1st ten minutes at a club. It makes me sad that people just go to sit around and do nothing. Jean Luc is right. People don't know how to worship their music.

It makes me sad when people just go and sit around to do nothing. Jean Luc is right. People don't know how to worship their music.
@vfebm At least where I live... Industrial clubs only seem to play "futurepop", and "aggrotech". Even on our "oldschool industrial night" all the DJ will play is like...90s VNV Nation and Wolfsheim. Give me my Front Line Assembly, Front 242, Project Pitchfork, Nine Inch Nails, Nitzer Ebb, Skinny Puppy, or And One.
kraftwerk called themselves ebm in the 70s ... f242 called themselves ebm in the 80s. although saying f242 isnt industrial is nit picking imo. if f242 isnt industrial, what is?
youve read and heard every interview that kraftwerk ever gave? wow, such authority.
"The term electronic body music was coined by Ralf Hütter of the German electronic band Kraftwerk in 1978 to explain the more physical sound of their album The Man-Machine." -wikipedia

That still does not make either band EBM. EBM is a totally different kind of music now than Front 242 or Kraftwerk.
well, Peter christopherson is the godfather of Industrial Music, at least in England. As founding member of Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV and creative genius (with Jhon Blance) of COIL, he doesn't need help of horror movies to be important for the scene
no peaceoff hasn't commented with his usual sick rants on your channel....i was making a point that he could be traced all over youtube.....he might think twice about it next time
peace0ff - your comments on this video are a fraudulent mask of the bigoted racist hatred you openly urinate onto other YT videos. You are a middle aged blathering chunk of expectorated primate bile wallowing in your dead mum's vaginal cheese. This also goes for your alter-ego neo80s and your other personalities.
as i understand, the only idiot here are you, that informs about something taht isn't (for you) 100% clear... yes, christopherson did the soundtrack, but it was rejected by the label who promoted Hellraiser... he also appears as Coil in natural Born Killers (reznor included a song from the album Horserotorvator)
I guess you're right but that's just semantics, it's just a blindind track and after listeing to these guys since 1986 (for I am old) they still sound great.

@Pleasureman242 It fits perfectly at an industrial club though. Kids today don't know what EBM is. I mean, people think Slipknot is industrial.
That being said - I'm happy OP posted this vid!

@vfebm ,
Without the pre-existing "goth scene", there would have been no place for the new industrial bands to play and be spun.
I like that this track predates the TRUELY HORRIBLE techno industrial invasion. Rave culture destroyed the old industrial scene.
