Good video. I'm a retired soldier. 26 years in the "green machine". Entered basic training back in 1972. For the life of me, I don't remember how I got to Fort Leonard Wood. I'm thinking it was a chartered bus. It's about a ten hour drive, so I don't think we flew.

I feel bad for those who join a certain branch based on how bad ass that branch is.. Don't mean shit. I was TDY to Keesler for 9 months in 2010 and in that time one Marine was stabbed to death and Seaman was beat to inch of his life, because they ran their mouths. Both incidents happened off base between the service member and civilians. Just be humble your doing something with your life and wear the uniform with pride, not cockiness.

@Skier1968 not ruining your comment or anything but...'I'm a Soldier" or "I'm a Sailor" or like I'm going to be "I'm an Airmen" my grandpa "was/still is a Marine" so I'm defiantly not talking down the Marines. Brothers were Army, other grandpa and dad navy, one aunt was Air force..I'm proud of all our branches..even the coast guard though none in my family enlisted for them.

@infinithope Being a Ranger isn't a definite thing. But becoming a Marine is. If you enlist and go to boot camp I promise you will become a Marine. You will leave that place with a title that can never be taken away. If you retire as a ranger, you do just that. But retire as a Marine, and you'll still be a Marine until the day you die.

I joined the Army. I have nothing but respect for Marines but I personally didn't find the Marine Corp more appealing to the Army. If you want the best of combat join the Army or Marine Corp. If you wanna explore & learn a damn good trade go Navy. If you wanna be a cop & get paid like a soldier go CG & if you just wanna sound important go to the chair force

Aldo fun fact: Air Force Physical Fitness standards are higher than that of the Army or Navy and is almost but not quite on par with the corps.

You don't know what the fuck you are talking about, you must be a REMF. No disrespect to the corps, I have great appreciation for them especially the Force Recon guys we cross trained with. We rucked them into the ground when they trained with my team. All military members deserve respect and you just dishonored your Army brothers, don't do that shit again.
