This band is BETTER than all the Coldplays, Mars Volta's, Radioheads, etc. of this world, but never got the attention they so much deserved throughout all those years. @MolecularHeinosity Anathema was around way before both Mars Volta and Coldplay.Their earlier stuff sounds nothing like this,they use to be a doom metal band.Starting around the album Alternative 4 they changed alot. If you like this style I suggest you check out all albums after Eternity,especially Fine day to exit.But you should really listen to all of their albums.In my opinion they are the best band on the face of the earth!

never heard of this group, But i had purchased classic rock magazine with Rush on the cover last month and this cd called future times came with it and Anathema track thin air is the opening track..Since playing it for the first time I was hooked..amazingly emotive soaring tune. @hask2112 Judgement was my launching point into Anathema. A great album by a great band. This is a little lighter in tone (almost happy by Anathema's standards compared to their older stuff. I can't recommend it all enough. However, if you really like this, I'd avoid anything before Alternative 4, it's a lot more Doom Metalish. Still really good, but you have to like that kind of music.

Awesome song, this is easily one of the best albums of the year. I love when a band that can really evolves and not to be stricttly rigid to their influences. It shows infinite talent and passion, two key aspects of real music. Hopefully a lot of people can hear this CD and can find and enjoy the beauty of it.
