  • Now I know, what I want for Christmas.

  • magnets... how do they work?

  • Robert De Niro is very uninterested in the background! lol

  • two magnets repelling each other due to the fact that they aint touching they can theoretically go at the speed of light but there is air friction which slows them down

  • @MajCrezz1

Einstein would disagree. Nothing with mass can reach the speed of light. F=ma no longer applies at relativistic speeds.

  • yeah i think thats liquid nitrogen.. still fucking cool tho ay

  • train can running without a coldest chemical

  • what causes that the trains move?

  • The electric currents in the guideway.

  • the train is magnetically both attracted and repelled at the same time. This is what causes the train to hover slightly above the superconductor. As their is NO friction the thing can move infinitely with the slightest tap. TOO bad they dont have a superconductor which works at room temperature.

  • Not accounting for air-resistance.

  • @theodor154 ..... while USA is playing with --- Toy Trains---..... China is using Maglev Transrapid System in Reality...

its time for USA to grow up... and start using Maglev Trains......& Electric CArs......

  • They push it at the start and because there is virtually 0 friction it just keeps moving

  • @phlipse90 Nice tracks! But they are all flat, i.e. in just 2 dimensions.... Also, this is actually quantum flux pinning, not Meissner effect. The Meissner effect pushes out all the magnetic field lines and therefore the superconductor is pushed away like if it was another magnet with opposite polarity (north-north or south-south). Then it could not follow the tracks. See a video of a levitating train in 3 dimensions using pinning here: moebius dot youtube dot mosem dot eu ;-)

  • it is very nice to have a car run by a magnet, in order to save fuel but the disadvatage is very risky to humans since all the roads will converted into magnet inorder to run the car, because all metals will conduct and will stick on the road and possibly hits people while walking on the road..

  • that statement has nothing to do with superconductivity.... ie "these ceramics are impermeable to magnetic fields"

The car is not "run" by magnets in the traditional sense.

  • the strongest magnet they are using was a neodymium magnet...actually this model was nice, but i have found out that we can run a train without using superconductors, but purely magnet. by using the principle of "thirds force" i discovere this since i was young. and know i have an experiment to run a generator using a permanent magnet..and i will documented it, i will posed it here in youtube after i accomplished this experiment...

  • what magnets are used to make the track

  • these trains were made in 1973, now is it that amazing, still very amazing!!! i hope hover cars come soon

  • his???..?.??

  • ^^ yes, he she it... it doesn't really matter ^^

  • wow!!!!!

  • nice 1 ^^' Liquid Hel :]

  • i think you'll find its liquid nitrogen

  • no audio?

  • HOLY SHIT!!
