  • Sorry I missed his funeral.I would have flown from San Francisco just to be there.

  • there was a nice tribute show to Snooks on the Monday in between the fest. He is missed

  • That's really sad, I'd never play at a funeral. I thought it was John Deacon (queen bass player)

  • Many thanks for this posting. I'm in Scotland so it was a wee bit far to come.

Snooks (and Deacon John) was a great example of the huge amount of talent that was relatively unknown outside of NOLA.

    Nice one from the Deacon!

  • Thanks for watching the video. The videos I've posted from two funerals over the past few days have received hundreds of hits, and it is my pleasure to share this with others. Particularly to the displaced New Orleanians who can't be here to see it live.

PS: how about that amazing Deacon John? What a beautiful tribute to Snooks. Just before he sang this song he was tearing up at the podium telling stories about Snooks. He put his heart into this one.

  • thanks for sharing this I was/am a huge fan of Snooks with it was deep regret that I heard he passed away. I'm sure Snooks is shakin it up in the promised land!
