They probably sound the same, because half the time, or more than half, they actually are the real thing, made at the same factory or made from duplicate plans at a different factory. I think there are 3 categories for 'fakes': 1) Imitated, which are just poor quality imitations made to look like the real thing. 2) Replicated, products replicated from the factory plans or "extras". 3) Stolen, "fell off the truck" . Yours probably fall into category 2 which most are.

@Kain1308 dr dre products are overrated, if you are looking for sound buy real studio headphones, if you want beats, its way more economic to get the fakes cause the real ones sound only 7% better then the fakes + noise cancelation aint THAT good as ppl think. dr dre is just design, hype and looks.

the one on the left is the HD solos and the on the right (dx ones) are the studio ones.
