Great film. I drove along pat of the Hejaz Railway embankment from Medina north for only two of three days back in 1969 when I was 14. Brought back memories of a great adventure.

This was quite enjoyable:) They way you mix the music with pictures, live film and narration on an interesting topic, makes it nice to watch:) Especially to see the train nad railroad tracks in the sand after so many years..and the buildings still standing there in the desert..haunting images. Thank you so much for making this:) Best wishes from Norway a late Saturday evening:)
Thank you for a wonderful presentation about the Hedjaz Railway. On 31 August 2008 I travelled with friends from the Hedjaz Museum in Damascus to Deraa by steam train to mark the centenary. The curator of the Hedjaz museum is a great freind of mine and he has travelled the entire route to Madinah to record the history for the Syrian Government. I am now sending him your link as I know he will enjoy watching your film. Again, many thanks from a lover of Hedjaz.
Thank you very much for your good comments. It's a lot of work but very enjoyable as well. And we are always very grateful when people like you takes time to let us know that you enjoyed it.
It's fun to make the video but it's like taking pictures. The pictures could be wonderful but it's always 100% more impressive when you are there, and you can feel the immensity of this desert. And the silence... Absolutely amazing !
Wonderful! Not only is the visual presentation superb but your narration is equally impressive. I only hope that this was as enjoyable to make as it is to watch. Cheers!
Excellent just renewed my interest in TEL - to see a train wreck still there from at least 1918 gets a history buff like my all tingly inside.

Didn't the Germans under Kaiser Bill provide the technical skills & trains etc for the railway?

The narrator eulogises about the swish modern feature in the train, "This super Turkish toilet!" It's a fuckin hole in the floor, man!
