By cutting off supply you do two things: you limit the drugs that can be purchased as well as raising the prices to, hopefully, prices the typical drug user can no longer afford.

@js2433 Supply and demand is a TWO way street. You cannot reasonably change the demand for drugs but you can reasonably change the supply. By cutting off supply you do two things: you limit the drugs that can be purchased as well as raising the prices to, hopefully, prices the typical drug user can no longer afford.
It IS Mexico and it IS the users. But it is more reasonable to cut off the source, not the receier.

With the U.S. and Mexico, though, the problem has always been on the U.S. side, starting with the 1848 Apartheid they imposed, and continue stubbornly to maintain. Just ask the chinese. Twice in modern history, they allowed their citizens to use drugs freely. Both times, most of their wealth was looted by the western world in exchange for this poison.
