  • @steamtrainfan1992 Same thing is taught to us in Canada. It's common sence really.

  • @6199jackman I guess the rules a slightly different here in Canada. AT CN Rail were I work if your crossing between 2 freight cars or locos they must be 25 feet apart. If there not you must use the cross over or brake platform. If you get caught stepping on the operating lever or couplers (especially between the horn and striker) Its a failed PMRC if your a repeat offender 60 points and have a nice life your outta here.

  • I thought those transition couplers were for emergency or transfer duty only

  • Didn't use the crossover platform either. 60 points!

  • @SierraMike100 didn't need to

  • @SierraMike100 It's a natural instinct for the man to go over the couplers.

  • Big fail for safety : you don't ever walk between couplers that are that close together.

  • @9035 IF you look at 1:21, You will see he also broke another rule : Do NOT step on the rail at all .

  • @SteamtrainFan1992 It is not a fail, you should know that you have no right whatsoever to explain the rules when you do not know the official rules/guidelines. Or are you? The wheel would not crush his foot because of carriage clearance.

  • @6199jackman I understand completely ,but I work for a short line railroad in California , and i was told you should never step on a rail. Not to piss you off but i was just telling what rule i was taught. Again I am not trying to makeyou mad

  • @9035 so who cares you don't know the rules he must have to

  • @6199jackman 33 years doing that stuff, what would I know. You are 21. Nuff said.

  • Is it me or did he forget to lock the pin...

  • @freeciv1 you

  • nice video :)

  • I'm sure that conductor wets his pants a little standing between that engine and car while putting on that coupler. I know i would!

  • I wold stand clear of the train when the driver give a pull on the coupler to check it has locked properly.

  • Wondered for a moment how that was going to work with the "chopper" style couplers.

  • A nice couple really :), Not overally forceful.

  • that is a dangerous job, u have to be extra carefull

  • wow ummm hmmm
