I don't think this a productive drill. The older guys aren't learning anything when they are blocking these slow sloppy punches. I believe it would be better for them to advance in skill level to work with blocking punches from a person who knows how to throw them "Which will be people they fight". Also The instructor should be reinforcing proper form for the kids so they don't gain bad habits "leaning way forward". Lastly what is wrong with their ring!

if they had better boxers attacking the guys defending, then you could say the attackers would not be improving their skills by opening holes in boxers worse then them.

If you put lightweight with a heavyweight then start legalizing dogfights cause thats a bloodbath. Both have Advatages over the other. Sparring without headgear only leads to cuts and califlower ear.

They're only light sparring, no ones going to get hurt. Leading up to a match they may step it up. Then the will have to use the appropriate protection.

First of all this video is not a tutorial .Second you must always train with headgear so you get more resistance.Third You should never have 4 people fighting in the ring.There should only be 2 people fighting and the ref that's it.This vid sucks.
