  • He should add the whole song to his set list.

  • I find nothing disrespectful about the performance, here. In fact, just the opposite, this is a wonderful little acoustic snippet of the song. It seems pretty clear he not only respects the song, but, likes it as well. After all, it gave him, in PPL, his first taste of fame. I'm not a big country guy, but, the one time I saw Vince, I wished he had done this song. I read somewhere that he doesn't because many in the audience don't know that he was in PPL and are confused when he sings it.

  • Simple, Pure, and Perfect...

    Thanks God for creating Vince...

  • Sorry but Vince was a member of PPL and sang lead on more than one song. You'll see him on the cover of Firin up....I also toured with the band back then and know this for fact.

  • @keljoy48 LOL I was gonna say to FirthsbutFourth: That would have been quite some feat for a guy to sing lead vocal on one of PPL's biggest hits ever without being a member of the band. Too funny.

  • @keljoy48 Thanks for your comment. I thought he was a member, but wasn't sure so I didn't comment. Any idea why he left the group?

  • Vince Gill was never "In" Pure Prairie League. He just sang lead for them on this one song.

  • @FirthsbutFourth what about Still Right Here In My Heart?

  • fuck you cocksuckers Vince rules

  • @ Aslanspal> what r u smoking? If you'd ever seen Vince live, you'd recognize his self-deprecating humor and easy interaction with his audience, poking fun at his own 'failing' memory. In interviews, and on stage, he sings the praises of his peers & downplays his own talent. It's that humility combined with extraordinary gifts that set him apart from the rest, and I do mean the REST. I loved PPL too, but Vince MADE that song the hit it was, and he can have fun with it any day!

  • He is dis respecting the songwriters....this was a big hit for Pure Prairie League...shame on you and you sang it in 1980 they gave you a great song to sing and now you dis respect the song writers. I am calling bull shit on you for not knowing it.

  • @Aslanspal well,,,,Vince doesn't know the song cause he never does it.....because it's a pure prairie league song....and VInce hasn't been in pure prairie league for 30 years...and there is copy write stuff and yeah.....so lighten up....if he forgets the words that no disrespect it just forgetting not disrespecting ( which is one word but I wouldn't /shouldn't say anything because I'm a really bad speller too)

  • Oh my gosh! I was at this concert! One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Thanks so much for posting this!

  • A somewhat intimate venue with a brilliant artist. A DVD of something like this would be great.

  • Thats cool! I just googled to see if he still sings this song in concert...I guess he doesn't much!

  • I agree!

He is the best of the best!

That is because he sings from his heart!

  • I just gotta say, no one sings this song like Vince.
