It's Jan. 09 and it still hasn't come yet?! WTF is up with SNKPlaymore localization staff? Except for 6 each of these games has already been translated for the US so what the hell is taking so long?! I'm about to go through withdrawal syndrome soon!
Guess what! The Japanese version for the Wii has fatalities removed for Samurai Shodown 2 only. Seems all the others on the disc have the full fatalities... just not part 2! Just so happens that 2 is the only one I really love. What a bunch of shit.
OMG Hell yeah! I'm so getting this game! I especially look forward to playing SS 6. But just a question (even though I may sound like a dumbass) but what's the difference between SS 5 and SS 5 Special?
Since noone replyed, I'll give you my best explaination
1. Goah from SS 5 is playable along with Amakusa, Muzumi, & Zankuro (all the bosses from the earlier games)
2. Stages have been added & removed. Graphic wise, it has a darker feel like SS 3.
3. The biggest difference between 5 & 5 Special is the addiation of zetsumei ougi or Overkill Moves which if connects ends the match for the victim. There are conditions that must be met before 1 can perform a ZO.
That's what I thought...The only difference that I noticed was that you can play as Mizuki, Amakusa, and Zankuro. But I didn't know about stages and the zetsumei ougi. I saw that you can do the zetsumei ougi in V special but I didn't know that they weren't included in V. Thanks for that! I had been wondering for a while why there where two versions.
I'm glad to be of help. By the way this collection has just been released in Japan. And those who bought the import are finding out that SS V Special's not in it. A recent preview from IGN has confined that this game will be in the American release.
these games were AWSOME!!! such classics!! they should release more of these games. why dont they rivive this series and make a whole new update with todays technology? maybe some 3d cell shaded effects but with a huge update
it will be more expensive than $20USD when it comes out in 2008. The price is announced on snk's website to be 5040yen which is about $42USD. the best version will be release 1 year later for 2079yen
i was assuming you were talking about the japanese version of the game because of this trailer. the import price would definitely be around $40USD. Maybe ur right about the U.S. version, but you dont have to be sarcastic.
