@GarethRoughcauldron -- I signed up for the "closed" public beta test & got in. It moved to "open" public beta after a week & then full release about 2-3 weeks after that.
If there's a game that you're interested in, keep an eye out for news about public beta testing. You don't get paid & they're may be an NDA with it, but you get into the game (albeit buggy) before everybody else.
These are also part of the Station Store for the game, costing you a couple of bucks (~200 SC's) for the items.
HOWEVER, players can receive a free racing helmet by entering FACEBOOKFANS06 in the REDEEM-A-CODE section of the site (or go to the Station Shop's "Claim" section to enter the code in-game). Once the code is confirmed, go to the Station Shop's "Claim" section to pick it up.
The song that played during the beta testing is the Free Realms Theme song with the lyrics stripped. The song was removed from the races once the game went live.

I'm sorry to report that there's no known way to level up your racer jobs at this time. This will likely change in the future... but knowing how slow some of the planned updates are, I wouldn't hold you breath for a few months.
Since the game went live, all the specialty karts are listed in the Station Shop... So you'll have to cough up around $4.00 (400 Station Coin) for each of them.

@merlin15091 -- This was recording during the Public Beta Phase, so I only had the default "Free" cart.
The game (including the interface) has greatly changed since then.

Since they've updated the game (beyond their original version), players now have a greater selection of personal apparel for racing & demo.
Check the Station or Coin shop for selection now.

there are codes wich give you free stuff that freerealms put in not cheats but secrets theres one that gives you a checkerd helmet
