In a game this is really easy to do, no calculating wind speed or anything just adjusting windage, in real life there is only one man who can make that shot, and it took him 3 shots to make the kill at 2.4 km away, if anything,.. Your the noob!

first you cant really snipe at 2.4 km the maximal range is 1200-1500! Actually the most long range recorded sniper kill was by Rob Furlong of the Canadian Army, who shot a LRSW at a terrorist carrying an RPK. First shot missed, second hit the guy's backpack which is quite a shit and then the 3rd shot got him.

You see, a bullets trejectory or bullet drop increases over range. Unfortunetly this game currently does not have adjustable scopes for long range shots yet so you are forced to shoot higher to hit the target.

i use an anschutz 1710 D HB. for trigger i use an anschutz 5018 because i love two stage triggers. i have the same barrel the rifle came with because you cant get much better than whats on there and i dont have a lot of money just laying around. as far as optics go, it depends on the type of tournament im shooting and whether or not they will allow optics. but when i do use a scope i use a Leupold VX-II.

Here is the story from a reliable source. Canadian 50 rounds could not travel that distance. The shot fell short by some 100m. The target who was apart of machine gun nest crew never knew he was being engaged. The Americans with the Canadians gave the sniper one of their 50 rounds which are stronger. That round was the kill round.

@franklawl Nope it's the exact same, .50 BMG is .50 BMG; it's a nato round and doesn't change between countries at all. The only difference will be other variations, such as the M8 or m903 sabot, there's also a ton of other cartages but the one Rob Furlong used was a standard nato ball BMG. He doesn't even own the record for the longest shot with a recorded kill anymore anyway, a british sniper (Craig Harrison) now owns it with a non anti material round, the .338 lupa in a L115A3.

Nice shot dude. I remember I once made a kill at 2509 meters with the m107. It took me forever because I had to use +100 MOA and aim so high that the dude wasn't even in my scope. The bullet took about 10 seconds to get there maybe more but it was cool.
