what alarms me is that although we make a big case that only democracy is a good form of government, people on average in many countries are either so dumb, or so naive, or so easily frightened, or so uninterrested, that a democratically elected government can very easily get its way in most parts of the world....

@Liviavan The fact that you "cannot believe that it doesn't have that many views or comments" shows you are not following the story. In general most people never view, or comment, or even care AT ALL about things like this. They prefer things like Dancing with the Stars, NFL football and thinking about what kinds of deals on plasma TVs they can find on Black Friday. Most people, probably somewhere in the order of 80%, do not give a fucking shit that their government is this corrupt.
