Yeah, I know Jack can't die, and that he survived last season. I was just pointing out what I saw as the similarities between Jack being tortured in Season 2 and in this episode of season 8.

I agree, apparently the Producer's/Script writers rely too much on the short memories of people to hope that you wouldn't remember that.

Just like how Jack had tattoo's on his upper arms in Season 1, but they suddenly disappeared in Season 2?

Their inability to provide new material is drying my patience and many others.

This season is amazing, this is old school 24. 24 was never about mindless action or blowing everything Jack touches apart, it was apart building suspense and unfolding the plot a little each week and thats exactly what this season has produced, sorry if you dont like it but this season is no longer pandering to the needs of those fed on a Hollywood junk diet.

this season is missing the cliffhangers that excite us. i remember all the previous seasons i was trying to find spoilers for each next episode. now i just watch 24 on Tivo when i have time.

You can tell Renee fells tremenous guilt and remorse for Jack in that preview. Hastings needs to step it up or something.
