It really shouldn't come as that much of a shock. Music theory is enlightening and beautiful and interesting and all that (if you're a music nerd like me), but when you grow up listening to and playing diatonic Western music like these guys presumably did, your ears are bound to pick up many of the ideas that make up 'theory', and those will seep into your music. I love how they really don't know much about what they're doing, musically. It shows that you don't have to learn much to write really complex, awesome stuff.
I'm not slamming the band or anything, I love these guys. I'm just saying how they've inspired me.

You know what model Prestige it is? Im thinking it's an S series since RGs are little more pointy at the horn, this guitar looks a little more rounded. S series are teh secks baum!

Its the bass player that knows all the theory he writes the songs i guess he probably tells them what kind of sound he wants and they have good enough ears to pick it out.
