A theory about Hermione's real parents

I know it's unlikely, but we had so much fun compiling a ton of evidence for it!

A cute theory, only credible however if you concede the possibility that after "Harry's Incident" because the dark side wanted Harry, that it would make sense to hide from everyone he had an older sibling and so the records were changed and the Order had Hermione's memory's changed and adopted by an unassuming non-magical family of dentists to make her look like a normal person to protect her. Easier to change non-magical records and destroy her original magical birth records.

You know it is possible for Hermione to be Harry's sister. I mean, think about it. Hermione is older than Harry. She was born September 79' while Harry was born July 80' almost a whole year, so it is very possible...Now, lets say Lily and James wasn't ready, so they gave Hermione up for adoption, being her parents never told her the whole truth...but I am not sure I'd like Harry and Hermione being related...I am got Harry and Ginny and Ron and Hermione, but honestly they are better as friends.

the people that play her parents are the same people that play Lily and James i believe, cause in the first movie when it has the mirror it shows Lily and James, then if you look closely at Hermione's parents in the second movie they are the same people :) my sister called me a geek when i told her

Theory was not yours alone. It was conviantly called the sibling theory there is even an essay dedicated to it. Herminoe is 10.5 months olders than Harry However with Deathly Hallows it was disproven

Okay.. that does make sense.. i mean. Hermione, when the Dark Lord attacks, was at another house, the Grangers (muggle friends w. the Potters.) they decided to take her in when they decided that Harry went to go live with the Dursleys thdy were allrady full handed and just never told her that her parents were the potters.

Well, what could have happened, Hermione was in a diffrent room. The Potters had a large house. Lily was with Harry when it happened. Hagrid probably only knew about Harry, or they only took Harry and Hermione was put up for addoption and the Grangers took her.

I've been thinking about the same. Harry and Hermione being siblings makes sense some how. Hermione didn't necessarily have to be adopted by her mother's sister such like Harry, so they were separated when their parents died.

And still, I never quite believed that. If it was so, we would've heard about it in book 7. But it's quite an interesting theory.

actually both of hermione's parents are muggles 100%. While Harry's father is full blood and his mother is muggle born (like hermione). But after DH we learned that all muggle borns really have some far down the line unknown wizard relative as the wizard gene doesn't just appear as if by magic, pun intended.

I never said I believed it, I just thought it was interesting. Plus, you never get much background on Hermione's family life. All you know is that both of her parents are dentist and have aren't magical. She very well could've been adoptive; we're never given a discription of what her parents look like or if she even resembles them...I just thought it was interesting *shrugs*
