  • Anyone know who does the background vocals at 2:42? Simple and brief, but it really adds a lot to the song.

  • Lou gramm is the man one of my favorite singers

  • Ty! I grew up with this song but never knew it was the guy from Foreigner. I went to listen to it but the quality on the videos posted really sucked. Thank you very much for this! you're awesome :)

  • LOU GRAMM's VOICE IS SO MAGIC - ABSOLUTELY IRREPLACEABLE !!!!!! God bless !

  • You are so RIGHT!!

HYey, if you are looking to get 12 checks every month, just reply to this email.

  • What?

  • Women were sexy in the 80s . . . partly b/c of the 40s throwback makeup, permed hair, padded shoulders, high-heeled boots . . . do we have to wait until the 2020s to see women like that again? Bring 'em back!

  • @lengelwolf Amen to that

  • @lengelwolf - I loved the 80's! But maybe everyone is afraid the men will follow suit with the big permed hair again too ;-p

  • Couldn't agree with you more :-)

  • Couldn't agree with you more :-)

  • Great song! And great video featuring the legendary Pontiac GTO!!

  • I wish he would have done this with Foreigner

  • okrabay-he could have..he might have..but Mick Jones is an azz..egos kill great bands too damned many times!! :(

  • This was Foreigner at their prime. Loved this song. Loved this band. Hey, may parents had a car like that. Only in light yellow... ! Rock on Lou !

  • Chaseyboeyy:

This wasn't Foreigner at all. It was a solo thing for him.

    Thanks for playing though.

    Love this song.

  • also, this song made it to #1

  • so good, that even REM covered it live back then... Michael Stipe: "It's a terrific song"

  • I remember this song playing in a diner when iw as having my first date. then again when i was in my car over sunset cliffs in San Diego. I do not know who posted this, but you just made my life a little brighter.

  • This song ROCKS!!!

  • I had such a crush on the chick in this video. I thought she was the most beautiful creature on earth at that point.

  • Who are the couple in the Video? she's Beautiful....

  • The girl is Traci Lind

  • I used to pull outta the school parking lot senior year in my '66 Chevelle cranking this song up and grabbing gears!

  • if I want to have a nice day, first of all I listen to LOU GRAMM's SO MAGIC VOICE - Love Lou FOREVER !!!

  • Sadly, Lou Gramm has always been majorly under-rated, but to me he his the greates singer ever and has such an inspirational voice. Thanks Lou for being the person to lighten up my day; God Bless.

  • those were the days when pop-writers still wanted to come up with at least some sense in the lyrics...

    great song

  • I loved this song as a kid and still do.

  • claps<~~

  • Lou Gramm! What an awesome singer. This is one of my 80's favorites, and my favorite Lou Gramm song!

  • lepplix. hmmmm no only have you good taste... you taste good too. HE HE HE :) gravy seeing you here. midnite blue.

  • What a great song.

  • Lou Gramm will ALWAYS REMAIN ONE OF THE BEST ROCK/FOLKS SINGERS - Appreciate his great talent, & VOICE FOREVER - We love you Lou !!!!!!!!!!!

  • love it love it. one of my favorite songs still to this day!

  • This song was a guilty pleasure for me in '87 But Lou Gramm wasn't "cool" so I didn't tell anyone. Imagine how dumb I felt when I saw REM (a "cool band")and Michael Stipe said it was his favorite song right before they performed it....

  • Woman are sooo beautiful!!!

  • I use to follow, yeah that's true. But my following days are through. Now I just gotta follow through.

  • classic

  • siiiii

  • great memories! Love 2 u Lou!

  • What a good damn song!

  • Oh Yeah!

  • I saw Lou Gramm in concert tonight at the Raleigh Wide Open celebration. He looks absolutly NOTHING like he did when he was younger.I know people change as they age but I would have never recognized him if he hadnt said who he was when he came out on stage. He still sounds pretty good though.I had a really good time.

  • He had a brain tumor and has gone thru alot. that is why he looks and sounds different.

  • 80sluvr69 - I sent you directly comments on Lou Gramm (why he looks so different at present)He remains one of the best rock/folk singers FOREVER !!!

  • very catchy

  • Best Song of the 80´s !!

  • Awesome song and video!!!!!! They don't make em like this anymore!!!!!!

  • Indeed that is the truth mr dorchester.

  • MMMMMMMKAY!!!!!!!!! this is awesome!!!!!!

  • this song just makes me wanna go out and dddrriiivvvveee

  • Sensational song and truly great performance all round.

  • Sometimes I view this video and think how much I missed out on in my teenage years. Then a moment later I am astonished on all of the things I enjoyed! In the end this song gives me a renewed spirit going forward. This song has meaning on so many different levels.

  • Lou looks bored at about 2:19.

  • i LOVE lou gramm! he's so amazing :)

  • lou gramm a great singer...

  • I agree... has never gotten the credit he deserves when you talk about rock singers.

  • great song!

  • Are there any videos of Lou Gramm singing his solo songs live from back in the day?

I can't seem to find anything.

  • Lou Grahmn kicks so much ass.

    Woo Hoo.

  • From who is this song?

  • MetroidMark. This song is by Lou Gramm

  • dad gum, i love that song

  • This was the song playing when I told my boyfriend I loved him, 7 years ago, I can still picture my hand on his leg, and how absolutely giddy I felt!

  • Great song, grat vid.

Actully, I was singing this on karaoke at my local bar the other night. The DJ said I'm the first person who's ever sung this in all the time he'd been doing the job and he didn't even know who Lou Gramm was. Guess there's not too many of us old rockers left!

  • I hate he's not with foreigner anymore but there is not a foreigner without Lou I saw him in concert at the old colisium in Charlotte NC in the early 80s and he and the group rocked, all time favorite bands I had heard he had brain surgery for a tumor and has started singing again, God Bless you Lou,

    Shannon in NC

  • I've got this single on 12" blue vinyl!

    Never seen the vid though

    Thanks

    :)

  • Awesome.. Love this song A+++++

    Thanks for posting

  • I remember in 1990 when I was a year old, my parents used to dance to this song. Even though I was very little it brings back memories of better days.

  • Handsome boy, pretty girl, love. Nice song. Awesome 80's video brings back sweet memories.

  • One of the best Songs that i´ve ever heard

  • My brother Craig sings this song, the song is great, but on the other hand, he sucks, the guy just sucks.

  • Very Awesome!!! My absolute favourite song.

  • This is a great video, one of my alltime favorites.

  • This was the last GREAT MTV song...after this (1987) it was straight downhill for the video channel.

  • I only saw Foreigner once, in 1985.They had a local choir come on stage for 'I Want to Know What Love Is'. During the show this guy comes rushing down the aisle (my 2 friends and I were on the 2nd level at Reunion Arena in Dallas) and slipped on a spilled coke. He goes flying, almost over the rail, and let me tell you this guy was hanging on to the rail with his legs up in the air and was somehow able to pull himself back over. My friends were freaking...

Other than that, it was a great show...

  • wow so many memories 1 of my parents favs

  • strokes?? is he OK right now??

  • Lou Gramm and Foreigner are awesome live! I have been fortunate enough to catch them in concert before Lou had his strokes. Even after that they opened for Journey.

  • all time dream concert: Foreigner AND Journey perform on the same stage....of course, with the original vocals, NO substitutes for Steve Perry and Lou Gramm!!!!

  • didn't know Lou Gramm had strokes? I knew he had a brain tumor and subsequent surgery and I know strokes are a complication of that surgery....just didn't know he had any afterwards. Such a shame!

  • He also had some gland issues where he gained a lot of weight and had other problems associated with it.

  • love this song about true love

  • I had never seen the video before. Say what you will, but I listened to it twice.

    Loud.

    At work.

    In an office building.

  • Rock on, Aircoolerkirk!

  • Thanks for making my heart sing!

  • Excellent song! Lou Gramm! Rocks!

  • Robert who? lol

  • Yes, yes, and again yes.!!

  • Yes, yes, and again yes!!!

  • I simply love this song. Reminds me of youth, fun, carefree days. It is a classic. Its either midnight blue or cherry red, man oh man.

  • thanks for posting this. i LOVE this song!

  • Sorry if this has already been posted but look at the girl in the video...it's a YOUNG Denise Richards. Check it out!

  • Yes, pretty close to Denise....and doesn't Lou remind you of Robert Plant?!

  • I don't know if you just meant similarity (I don't see that though!), but this is actress Traci Lind (aka Tracy Lind, and a few more variations). She was on an ep of 21 Jump Street and in several movies in the '80s (like My Boyfriend's Back and Class of 1999), then a few more in the '90s (The Road to Wellville, The End of Violence). I always liked the song and thought she was gorgeous. If you want to see a young Denise Richards, watch the 90210 episode where Jackie Taylor marries Mel Silver.

  • Great song!Brings me back to my younger days in Jersey!

  • good Job lou

  • forgotten 80's song, but so so so so so good. it wasn't "metal" and wasn't "synth pop" so it kinda got lost.

  • Lou Gramm is back on tour, try to catch him, He is Awsome know as he was then

  • One of the great riding or cruising songs for the highway...try it on an ipod, just before dawn on a deserted outback highway, thundering along on a big bike, watching the sunrise over the desert...fantastic...
