I am french and this movie reminds me my childhood! I remember that then I didn't care at all about her I just loved Fernandel (the main actor) which was wery funny and famous in France. Now I bellydance and I can see how beautiful the dance and the dancer are!!! She is so graceful and joyful!

What i mean by that was that her dance moves are not technically skill (she's just swaying her body back and forth, but then again this dance movement must be popular for that time period)

you are wrong, very wrong. look at her hipwork toward the end of the clip, and also look at her stomach. Plus, in the beginning, she does not just sway. her turns are beautiful and her hip turns to the back are elegantly executed.

I think she has a very beautiful delicate style, but I don't see much at all going on as far as belly dance is concerned. It's mostly the same move over and over other than the little bit at the end and still I'm not a big fan of it on a technical level.

la danse à beaucoup changé et ce que les anciens apprécient le plus c'est la nostalgie des premiers temps. Beaucoup ont découvert la danse orientale avec Samia Gamal et le fait qu'elle ait fait plusieurs film a augmenté sa popularité. Elle a un style bien à elle, elle fait très peu de shimmy et de mouvements spectaculaire, mais certaine personne préferre sa simplicité.

Personnellement, je ne suis pas fan non plus. Je préferre Naima Akef
