Actually it just occurred to me. Having short layers underneath... if you were to have the long layers forward over your shoulders and looking from the back or sides it would make the appearance obvious of extensions because the short extensions exposed underneath aid in exaggerating the short length underneath. I suppose if that is what you want.

I understand doing whatever makes one comfortable and looks best, as long as you can see it to even look at otherwise it doesn't look anything except what you can see, so the shortest layers are lost under the larger ones. Unless you're trying to go for volume while appearing to have one long length I don't quite see your purpose in starting with a short one at the bottom. *scratches head in confusion*

Ohshean- I use the same extensions as the girl in the video. Euronext, they are the best for me, I also have really short layers and mid length hair. I had to buy two boxes of human hair extensions for it to blend and work well, but, if you have your hair stylist help show you how to put them in your layers won't show and the extension won't fall out. Mine look great and no one can tell I have them in.

Correction;you CAN wash and heat style SOME synthetic hair up to about 275 degrees. I have synthetic extensions and I am able to heat style them,but I prefer to keep them straight.
