Isn't life funny? Having already watched and loved Showtime's The Borgias, I then watched Canal+'s (Tom Fontana's) Borgia and initially hated it, mainly for John Doman's ridiculously inauthentic portrayal of Pope Alexander VI. But by the end of it, I had become completely enamoured with the series, primarily for Mark Ryder's visceral portrayal of Cesare Borgia, not to mention Isolda D's and Stanley W's stellar turns as Lucrezia and Juan, and Marta G's sultry and scheming Julia. I read kinda tons of books, some of them praising Rodrigo & sons, some others demonizing them, some more just painting them as sons of their time, but in none of those books I found as much as a scarce 10% of what happens in this series! Yet, I enjoyed it a lot and look forward for season2!

The Borgias wanted him out of sight so that Lucrezia could remarry without a problem, so it's likely that he was raised as Cesare's illegitimate son, far away from Rome. There was a baby called the "Roman Infant" that both Rodrigo and Cesare claimed paternity over, and that was likely Lucrezia's child by Perotto (Paolo).
