In fact, I haven't said anything bad about Maria Aragon, Charice, Pacquiao or whoever made it big in other countries. I'm focusing on the filipinos constant usage of "PINOY PRIDE". All of my comments are about "pinoy pride" and examples of why it is so superficial to use. Why it should not be use to an individual alone.

First, where is the INSULT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT? Make sure that you ANSWER the first question! Secondly, do you even know the difference between INDIVIDUAL success and COLLECTIVE SUCCESS? If you check Greyson Chance's video singing Papparazi NOT ONE of the commenters ever said "american pride, yey!" or britney spears video with "american pride!" why? because theirs is INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS. Clearly people of different nationality knows this.

@thefirstnoelforever more than 32 million viewed Greyson Chance's video. I went up to 51 page looking for "american pride" and I saw only ONE saying "you're parents must be so proud!". No racial issues whatsoever. These are entertainers and talent knows no nationality or race. Saying "Pinoy Pride" over this is just instilling false patriotism while if you look around us you see our country wallowing in mud and nobody even cares. I do not see a GENUINE "pinoy pride" in us.

Maria has a talent. THANKS TO HER PARENTS for nurturing that talent. Credit should go to Maria for her HARD WORK and to her parents for their SUPPORT. The Filipino community should never ever claim credit on her success BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!

I am a Filipino and I am realistic. We should NOT be proud of something WE have no contribution of! There's a big difference between INDIVIDUAL and COLLECTIVE SUCCESS. Let's just be happy for her and HER ALONE!!!
