This to me is very serious...How can the Chinese not understand or know this is going to have a negative effect. It almost seems like the PRC (Chinese Govt') has instilled a chemical warefare program using these chemicals (Cadmium, Lead etc.) to hinder young babies brain development...think about it....what a great way to dumb down a nation's population but to expose them to toxins as a child! Scary stuff!! Why hasn't our Gov't done anything?? The Canadians have done more then we have!

in UK, we are warned not to let children play with old toys(once mostly made in Europe), leads paint, sharp staples, little bits children might swallow..
now most toys are made in china, big 'hoo haa's going on on isolated incidents.
products recalled also are often made by local manufacturers, whatevers left. its just not sexy to mention them in the media.
