  • guitarist is great! ^...^ i enjoy his playing

  • At the height of there powers here............best song on The Scream for my quids....

  • just listened to "pulled to bits" cover by The Mars Volta and i cant stop listening to Siouxsie & The Banshees !!

  • They were da bomb during this time ohh yeahhh!!

  • Who are the five idiots who gave thumbs down?

  • Brano stupendo, lei è bellissima.

  • This is Brrilliant!

    Beyond 5 STARS!! ;)

  • Eccezionali, questo brano cavalcherà i secoli!

  • Great beginnings, before the full Goth era.

  • i like 4:20 where she does that kinda march

  • This is awesome, it really is, and Siouxie looks hot in that short leather skirt.

  • What. A. Song.

  • what a woman, nothing like lady goo gah

  • I would love to see a cover of this song.

  • @windrix1 Faith No More did last year in Australia.

    It's on youtube.

  • Uno de los primeros temas con los que conocí Siouxsie and the Banshees.

    Perfecto : )

  • Yeah yeah!!!!!

  • This is one of the most innovative, powerful & talented groups to come out of the '80s -I'm grateful to have lived through that era..!

  • In my opinion John McGeoch was the best guitarist that ever existed. But even he couldn't replicate that wonderful guitar sound that John McKay made his own for the early Banshees material like "Switch".

  • OMG I just love this song! One of my favorites!! =)

  • fuck SHE'S SO FUCKING HOTTTT FUCKKKK

  • mcgeoch was the banshees sound, my fave moment is coal mind, b side of fireworks "i wanted the sound of a train going over a cliff,,," aaah!

  • I still adore this after 30 years.

  • When the bass goes down and the guitar goes all over - that's one of the best "non-rockist" slabs of rock I ever heard in my fookin life.

  • ooooooo siouxi the perfect woman

  • A Banshees classic even Siouxsie says McGeoch was the best Banshees guitarist. RIP John

  • I'm no pyschologist, but Siouxsie and The Banshees should be the go-to for nearly all mental maladies. It's amazing to me how her's and Mcgoech's works can help a peep out irl. props o course to mckay and morris for making the band work earlier and helping get out the earlier albums.

  • I'd rather own this on DVD than Nocturne! Not that I don't enjoy Nocturne, but I prefer McGeoch over Smith.

  • Smith did give a decent enough performance on Nocturne, but he would never have been able to match McGeoch's style. But he was obviously not far off. His playing on Switch is almost as good as McGeoch here.

  • Indeed. I always consider McGeoch to be THE Banshees guitarist. Smith comes pretty close though!

This would be a great performance to have on DVD though.

  • Absolute brilliance

  • Siouxsie's voice had been affected badly since 1979 - compare this concert to the seven year itch concert in 2002 - this is the group at their best in my opinion - rip john mcgeoch

  • What happened to her voice in 1979?

  • Siouxsie saw a throat specialist during 79 concert tours - was advised to rest her throat as she had lost her voice - nodules on her throat i think from memory - couldn't really rest as in mid tour so i think that's why the longer term damage occurred and why her range was affected afterwards

  • Yeah, 1993 was her last good year vocally. After that she could only pull off a select few songs well. I still love Siouxsie though!

  • Was this performance on German TV..? Was it released commercially?

  • The WDR in the top right corner stands for: West Deutsche Rundfunk, West German Broadcasting. This concert was aired in 1994, as a part of a series of classic performances. Although 'Rockpalast', the name of this program, has made concerts available on dvd, this one hasn't been released yet. If it ever will remains a big question. Interestingly they also recorded a show of Magazine after McGeoch had just left them. It is also available on Youtube.

  • one of my favs

  • Admirable guitarist (John McGeoch) wonderful drummer (Budgie). One of best the periods of the group. Thank you !

  • they werew never the same without John

  • rip john

  • Much respect John. You will be missed!

  • Bravo! Juju tour was one of the best!

  • What I can understand that she says in the beginning is : "durch Lautsprecher"

This means :"through loudspeakers".....but I am not sure if this really is what she said. It is only what I can understand.....Greetings!

  • It's part of the lyrics for their song Metal Postcard (German version).

  • Oh, how much I would have lovesd to be at that concert...but in 1981 I first heard of grEat Siouxsie and the Banshees....And since then I loved to listen to their music and I always admired Siouxsie. I love her voice, her style, the way she moves and dances...

It is a wonderfull memorie of good times in the eightees!....

    Greetings from Germany!

  • She says something in German I believe. Does anybody know what she says?

  • she was the best yes thanks for this:)

  • This song is beautiful, and the album"the scream" is a masterpiece!!!

  • John McKay

    Kenny Morris

    Dig!

  • This a top live version. Seen them at the manchester apollo on the tour when they split up and the cure were supporting em. R.Smith took over.

  • yes, she is the shit

  • I mean saxophone.

  • Siouxsie is so dead sexy I havent the words. Its her whole persona. When I was seventeen she was kind of my little heroine. Her voice is a force of nature, especially on Juju. Now,enough drooling praise. This is good but I miss the fiddle from the album version.

  • Such a great song from such a great band, one of my 3 fave ones from them. It's such a pity they blanded down with 1988's "Peepshow", I can remember how disappointed I was then, my copy nearly fell off my hands. Happily, that year, Lush took over from the Banshees.

  • Siouxsie saved my life when I woz a terminally bored teen. Beauty, brains, grace, wit, humour, style, musical and lyrical genius. At least England values their great artists.

  • Is great gotico

  • Patti, Debbie, Joan, Chrissie, Siouxsie, Nina, Lene, Kate, Ari, Exene and Lydia. The definitive Punk era chicks.

  • Siouxsies voice at its very best i must say..

  • Folks, remember one thing. None of this wonderful Banshee stuff would exist without John McKay.

  • Yes, thank God he fucked off out of it and forced them to soldier on... adversity always brought about the best from The Banshees

  • Half-wit

  • Charming!

  • I love Siouxsie, she's adorable and god-damn gorgeous!

  • wow,Severin was hot!!!

  • Always best to see songs live. Good video!

  • Excellent rock group. Unsurpassed even after 20 years.

  • Budgie is an incredible drummer, very underated.

all the Banshee's drumwork is varied and well done.

  • Actually, there's a beat that he constantly does on Juju. I don't know what it's called and I don't want to know either cause I'm not a musician. Notice the floor tom and the snare, sometimes he changes the timing or adds toms and cymbals. I love that beat. I must admit I use it a lot too and he's a big influence.

  • Oh how I love this song! It's great to see a live version. Thanks!

  • Another great song...what else is there to say?

  • sooo English! "Terrible I expect." Love the Britts always.

  • EXCELLENT

  • Gergoues! Hypnotic voice! Great goth band!!!

  • who the fuck says theyre GOTH??

  • Goth????? you twat!

  • This is the best performance of this particular song that I have so far seen.
