That represents 0.008% or 0.03% of the Mexican economy respectively. Do you really want this problem to end? Have Congress approve a Mexican version of the Marshall plan to help them better their industries like we did in Europe and Japan after WW2. I give props to the Felipe Calderon for taking on the problem. The previous administrations just didn't look into the problem. This isn't going to go away overnight, it's going to take a long time to settle down considering how messed up the police force and the politicians are in Mexico. I saw a report by Anderson Cooper saying that there have not been any killings in Juarez the last three days or so. Doesn't sound like much, but it's a start considering there were about 10 a day.

And you don't think there are drugs in Canada? Do you think that the US-Mexico border is the only way for drugs to get into this country? The cartels will use any route they can and if Canada were in the same economic situation Mexico was in, the cartels would be using the US-Canadian border too. Thankfully, Canada has been fighting drugs as has the US and now Calderon is busting these cartels as well with Mexico's military.
