if u want to change the password without admin then go to start menu at bottom left corner choose run then type in control userpasswords2. then something will pop up then choose the admin and choose which ever thing u wanna do.

OphCrack LiveCD uses Slackware

if u want to run OphCrack on Ubuntu you have to download another version of OphCrack

Your disc is probably corupt. Try burning another copy. If that doesnt help, download another .iso as maybe thats the problem

Its only illegal if you use this software to crack other computers that your not allowed access on. You can crack your own password. This tool is good if you forgot your windows password on your old machine or a family member for there password.

This doesn't work for all passwords though. You can still create a password that would take Ophcrack a very long time to crack. This is still a good method to get most passwords. Rainbow tables is one of the most effective method to retrieve passwords and that's what Ophcrack uses.

Well in cases like that for longer passwords or unsure chars you need to download new LMhash tables.

See it is very simple to use. It will work with Windows 2000 and higher. Basicly anything running on NT.
