Vetiwitch....they did the right thing. Depending on the type of break, rarely can a horse overcome a broken leg.......remember Barbaro at the Preakness ? They spent tons of money trying to repair his leg......pain and suffering is all he went thru only to have to be put down after 6 months of surgeries and the best vets in the world. Why put the animal thru that ?
If she broke her leg they should of fixed it. I know it takes tons of work to do that with a horse, but the animal worked its ass off for these people and should of been taken care of.
I am so sad that this talented, amazing, beautiful horse had to die so soon... You can really see the bond between them. I love how he hugs her at the end. Everything about this team was absoultely beautiful.
I know nothing of dressage please help lol .Does the horse is taught this choregraphie and now it by heart or the rider is giving him some cues thank you
@misteeq64 : The rider has to give him cues to do everything. The horse probably recognizes some of the parts b/c of the practice. But she is always listening to be told exactly what to do and how to to it.
@misteeq64 The horse is trained for years in the moves you see them perform. The choreography is something thought up, then practiced by both horse and rider. Performing shows off the horses willingness to yield to the rider. The rider gives them subtle cues per each movement. The rider should appear carefree atop the most well-mannered horse. So yes, the horse is getting cues from the rider and-yes-the horse is pre-trained in the moves it performs.
I absolutely love this horse and I love how hose ears start flopping at 5:06! Its so adorable! Wish my horse was as brilliant as this one! We will get there with a little more time! <3
I never said i wasn't grateful to have my horse, i was just making a point that this horse is fantastic and i would love to have a horse capable of these types of movements
well the way the comment was written it was as if that was all you cared about was wishing your horse could do this...sorry if I got it wrong, I just think the horse being happy and healthy is all that matters. And to even have a horse is something. Sorry again.
i still don't understand how you came to that conclusion
this video is about a horse doing some amazing movements, the topic of horses being happy and healthy is not relevant, so therefore my comment was based on this clip and as i said above i would love to have a horse capable of these types of movements - this was in no way an insult to my own horse
sorry it came across to you in this way - no ofence was meant to anyone
did this mare ever have a foal???

@deeallen2 I myself am from Denmark. Helgstrand is my coach, so I know
