HEY, does that mean if I have NO money in the bank I can still write checks? or my C.C. is maxed out I can still charge stuff...or.. tell my bank or C.C. co I will make "X" amount of money next month I can charge/borrow against that? OUTSTANDING sounds like the GOVERNMENT.....
The country is going in the wrong direction, therefore, your policies ARE wrong!!! You are so full of BS!!!!! The banks are teaching you a lesson, just like they did carter. You know what happened to him. Pack your bags and grab your hammer and start building those habitat homes, as people will need them more than ever, thanks to your failed, skewed policies!!!!
Well Mr. One Term President, you've completely ignored those who put you in power and forced everything that we don't want down our throats! Come November we will cut your balls off and put an end to your BS!
We're going to repeal your unconstitutional HC bill and knock that feather right off your cap. You'll go down in history as the very worst and most unAmerican President in US history.
He forced HC down our throats with 66% of the people opposed to it and not a single republican vote. He refuses to secure the border and has sued his own country for trying to protect itself from a foreign invasion. He has spent more money than all the American Presidents in history combined, in just 18 months...and now he expects us to believe that we are on a pathway to recovery!!!
Another useless "Me, Me it's their fault with cream puff questions from the Obama Press Corps" news conference"....
There's two realities at work here...the real one outside DC and the "Bazarro World" inside DC where everything is working and a top priority. Oh yea..."YES WE CAN....change and destroy America"
Its the sub prime mortgage business, which was a creation of Democrats and leftists. It was based entirely on leftist ideology, and that is that life is unfair. If somebody can afford a house, everybody should be able to be in a house. It's not fair that some can't own a home. that is what started this mess...thank you Pres.Carter
Obama's not an idiot. He knows this economy is not recovering as quickly as its suppose to be recovering, but he's doing the best he can given the circumstances.
So far, you've helped the BigBanks & Big Businesses, remember the bailouts? Now, two years later, you want to stimulate state infrastructure rebuilding. Why did it take so long to get around to this? And you know the Bush&Dick Republicans won't let this happened. They barely let Unemployment Benifits get extended. You want to extend tax cuts for the bottom 97% & keep the taxes on the Top 3%. The Bush&Dick Republican thieves won't allow this. They screw the Bottom 97% not the Top 3%.
I'm happy for the Tax cut Mr. President but this would do me no good if I am not making an income because I have no job. Lets face it. The rich start up businesses and spend money and go shopping. If you tax them more they will go on less trips, buy less "stuff", and eat out for dinner less. What does that mean? You do the math.
@drefish99 I don't work for the rich, nor do I rely on them.. I work for a small business that provides a service for mostly middle/lower class people like myself.
I've been working here for a few years now, and thought of starting my own business before the economic collapse.. Though I'm grateful for my job now, I also have renewed hope for my own business in the near future.
That, my friend is the AMERICAN DREAM.
Working for the rich is no dream, it's a nightmare.
Bush inherited the largest surplus in American history from Clinton, and handed off the largest deficit and a financial crisis to Obama. Clinton, however, passed the biggest financial deregulation bill in decades, which was supported by both Democrats and Republicans. Those are some unbiased facts everyone should know.
Never hear either party talk about the poor families who don't want government help, and want the government to leave them alone. You take your kid to the doctor lately? Have to go threw the health and wellness interrogation, errm form? Took my kids yesterday because they had the flu and my son was appalled by the questions they asked. He didn't see how his home life was any of their business and worried half the night while sick with 103 temp if he answered the questions right.
@VexZeez There is a huge difference between both parties... I'm not praising the Democrats, since it was a huge disappointment to see how both wall-street and health-care reform was done..
but
The G.O.P. has obviously sold out to big corporate.. it sure isn't the same party my grandparents new, and it's NOT the party that will get us out of this mess.
It may be one small step at a time, but at least i can clearly see the Dems moving (slowly) in the right direction
Glad he's finally putting it into perspective. Republicans and Big Business have been holding our economy hostage for long enough. They keep repeating that they want to create "certainty" for businesses to stabilize the economy and spur recovery, but it's the same tactics that didn't work before. The reality is businesses will continue to sit on their money instead of investing, and Republicans will have more leverage to stop Democratic efforts to get us out of the ditch.
@dooooooer Or at the very least.. realise that today's G.O.P. is NOT our grandparents G.O.P.
I should know, because for the first time since he was 18.. my grandfather DIDN'T vote Republican.. and that more then anything was an eye opening experience.

News flash. The Democrats have had a majority since 2006. Obama is playing the blame-game of Dems good and Reps bad.
Mid-terms are coming. Vote the incumbents out. We need term limits.
