  • Wha, great ! I have my exam tonight and I have to do this one.

  • If your following tissies akikai this is 5th kyu.

  • Why is the title 6 Kyu, the video states 5th and I also don't think there is a 6th Kyu. This applies to other videos as well.

  • there is sixth kyu, where does it state 5th? and by the way it depends on the dojo, and the association wether there is sixth kyu, but i guess this is generally the first rank you can get.

  • I was mistaken, I looked into it. thx

As for the video though, it's french and it says 5eme which means 5th.

  • Hello, I have a doubt regarding the application of the technique. Why when Uke is going to grab Nage, uke makes a step to his right? I've seen how some Nages make a step to the left so they can do the technique with more ease

  • He is doing the 'omote' (=front/forward) version of the technique. If he had stepped left, he would have gone behind his opponent's back and that would be the 'ura'(=back) version of it (he would also have to pull him to the ground while turning).

  • This is Christian Tissier in the video. Don't worry he does the technique ok ;-)
