For everybody saying that Janick is out of tune, that;s because they are playing outside, and anybody who knows about tuning knows that the temperature effects tuning. Guitars get flat when its warmer outside because the strings expand making it go flat.

And when you go outside, the temperature isn't stable, so you constanly have to change yor tuning, sometimes you won't even notice it, but alot of the time, you will.

No there's something out of tune, that note seems to be in between two different notes, and it's actually pretty simple to remember that you're playing in E when you play Maiden songs on the guitar! And you can hear Janicks guitar pretty clear, but at 2:13 you hear that it's missing, and you can see that first he's wearing a guitar with black finish, and after 2:13 he's wearing a white one!

Yeah ofcourse it is, but since it continues to happen he should notice that something is wrong, and since 99% (almost :D) of the Maiden songs are in E minor, I don't think that he had a problem remembering which key to play in :)

well, on a floyd rose bridge, you only need to lose one string to get the tuning fucked up, but when i think about it, it was only one string so yeah, it has to be jann's guitar

But it's often his guitar that is out of tune since he hasn't got Floyd rose!

And he's the one that tortures his guitar the most with the tremolo and such (I'm not really sure if this could get the guitar out of tune, but it should if you do it too much!)

Are you saying that floyd rose is the only or the best tremolo to keep the guitar in tune? I bet Janicks tremolo is just as good as daves and adrians. Floyd Rose might be the original "floating" tremolo, but I've seen so many better tremolos.

Like which ones?, I had kahler is great too, but I dont know better systems than floyd, in fact now I dont use floting anymore, because I detune a lot so its better just a bridge. canyou sugest any?

For example an Edge Zero. I had that in my Ibanez and a Floyd Rose in Jackson. Edge Zero kept the tune so amazingly well. I checked the tune once in a month and usually it was still in tune. Just amazing. But I too prefer just a bridge because of the sustain and it's easier to tune.
