  • Went to a haunted house for Halloween back in the 80's and Sammy was there.I'll never forget him shaking my mom's hand up and down very hard to make her boobs bounce. It was hilarious!Miss you Sammy

  • @inkey2 He is alive, he is sickly now but his son has kept the legacy going & this past Saturday his son performed as Sammy terry & did a great job. He was on channel 4 at 12 midnite. Hopefully it continues!

  • Hes back, this saturday at midnite.. channel 4! We must watch to ensure the trend continues..he needs great ratings to stay! Do your part & watch with your kids! Cant wait!

  • @AfroScentRicHaven I used to watch this guy when I would visit mat grandmother in Indiana.......is he still alive and doing this?

  • "Dracula's Dog" aka "Zoltan, Hound of Dracula". A classic if there ever was one! Sammy's show must have been great. Wish I was around then to see it.

  • gosh i remember as a kid bein so scared of him i would hide my face and look thru my fingers lol those were the days ha ha

  • That laugh is EPIC lol!

  • I stayed up all night to watch Sammy Terry, that was better then Saturday mourning cartoons!

  • What great memories. Just when it was time for the TV to go off, we would turn to a new local channel, (one of four) and find Sammy Terry. Although a bit fuzzy at 1in the morning, it was still great fun-and scary too.

  • - why tha worldd did pple watch thiss ?

it`s not scary , funny , amusinq or nothinqq !

its verry , how should i put this RETARDED!

  • @allhizalldae123

Maybe because we were with family and enjoyed just hanging out together. After his so called lame intro as you would call it, there was always a great scary movie. For me, I have wonderful memories of my Mom. My guess is that you're too young to understand what "fun" really is...

  • Sammy Terry reminds me of Jack Palance for some reason.

  • I love talking to people that were fans of this show....Such an excitement overcomes them!!!!

  • Dracula's Dog-

the Rin Din Din for F-Troop-

    somewhere in time.

    Don't ask Circe...

  • oh how i loved to watch him as a child. i still get chills

  • I agree... I would love to watch him again. So much of my childhood was spent watching him late at night. I run a local sci-fi convention (Starbase Indy) and we are going to do a tribute to him on Saturday night. I would LOVE for him to be able to come, but I heard he wasnt doing any appearances this year. Get well soon Bob.. your fans LOVE YOU!!!

  • I wish WTTV had all these archived and would bring back Sammy Terry!!! I grew up listening to that amazing laugh and named my teddy bear after him. I'm disappointed that he's ill and unable to make appearances this year. So Bob Carter get well soon you have lots of fans who'd love to meet you.

  • One of the most fantastic character actors ever. He has inspired me ever so much. I am amazed at the set, the camera work and sound effects the crew put together. S T addressed everday things that are Horr-ee-bull in this intro, in a comical way.

  • I met Sammy Terry at a Horror Hound convention in Fort Wayne last year....he is cool...and still skeery as ever !!! TY Sammy for all the scary tales & nightmares as a child growing up.

  • I was born in late 79' and i remember watching one show and having nightmares. I would love to see channel 4 show it on the weekends. Thanks

  • I was born in Indianapolis in 1966, and I grew up with Sammy Terry on late night TV. This brings back tons of memories. Thanks for posting!

  • 1970 for me! yes, lots!

  • He is going to be at Harrodsburg haunted house on october 17th. Im so excited!

  • Oh the memories! I loved this as a kid. My dad grew up with Bob Carter (Sammy Terry) His wife taught at an elementary school I attended.

  • Much like other local horror hosts, I never heard of him. But if this clip is any indication, I'd have loved watching his show. Thanks for posting.

  • OMG, glad i found this! I remember watching his show every friday night when I was a kid! Was he on anywhere else other than Indiana?

  • I don't think his broadcasts erached very far in the early 60's. We could get it both in Indianapolis and out in Willow Branch (near Charlottesville) Indiana. I don't think the station was powerful enough to reach into Ohio or Illinois as they had other horror hosts there

  • Sammy if from here... met him a few years back. Guy is pure class!!!

  • I watched Sammy every friday night in the seventy's,I wish his old shows were sindicated and put into reruns, because I'd watch if they were, hopefully alot of them were saved.

  • Awsome! Nothing is better than Sammy Terry on a Friday night.. Truly missed.

  • his scary laugh use to scare the crap out of me and my brother.........my parents use to watch this show and i just now found it........he is king of scary!!!!

  • Sammy Terry you bring back so many great memories. I used to watch your show every friday night just me and my mom lights turned out scared to death. I loved it because it was a special time me and my mom shared together thanks for the memories. Well wishes to you and yours.

  • Id give my left nut to have some program like this on ANY channel. All these stinkin cable channels and the best we get is reality shows, Family Guy, CSI, or infomercials. Seriously, screw this stuff! TV is so ANTI-fun anymore.

  • SAMMY IS THE ORIGINAL KING!!!

scared my little brother every time!!didnt matter where he was in the house, he would run,and bury his head in a pillow!

I had the great pleasure to meet Sammy at our old theater in Mooresville!!Biggest star i had ever seen!! Keep on Truckin', Sammy!!

  • THIS DUDE USED TO SCARE THE CRAP OUTTA ME!! The intro to this show was TERRIFYING.

  • This guy used to scare the begeezus out of me when I was little. I would cover my head with a blanket, stick my thumbs in my eyes and my fingers in my ears, so I couldn't see him or hear him. Yeah, it's stupid, but I was little and scared! It was the music and his laughter that did it to me!

  • I'd like to say thank you old man for all the nightmares! If we were ever bad at night time my mom would say, I think I hear Sammy Terry outside. That's all it took we would be good. LOL

  • Haa Haa! LOL!!!

  • @HISPuppets

    Same here.

  • This guy...I mean ghoul...used to scare the shit out of me when I was 5 years old. An absolute blast from the past. I'm so happy to see Sammy on the Tube.

  • Man, he was great. I use to watch him on Friday and Saturday nights. I met him back in the late '80's Shook his hand and it felt just like a dead persons hand. Would you happen to have any footage of him on video tape? I've got a little myself but I would love to find some more footage to put over to dvd and I'm willing to pay for it. Instant message me if you'd like. Thanks for sharing

  • I recently had the privelage of meeting Sammy Terry at the HorrorHound Festival that was held in Indy at the East side Marriott, wow man!! He still has that presence that will scare the holy moly out of you even now!!! That voice and laugh he has WHOA!! Got my picture took with him too!!
