  • belo video,a musica claro ja nem vale a pena comentar

  • The best movie :) Thx

  • I am 23 and only in the last year did I discover Miles Davis. The man has changed my entire perspective on music. He is now my favourite artist of all time, and I am sure he will be enjoyed for so many generations to come. "In A Silent Way" and "Bitches Brew" are my two most listened to CDs at the moment. Miles, I love you.

  • I like the rainy day association people have. I can see neon signs in New Orleans, clear at first, then blured by the windshield wipers. The signs, aglow, melt into the song. People are driving to no particular place. It's big city driving, in a beautiful city by the river. There are clubs, there are joints, there are places like Vaughn's that I can see through the smoke haze and see this trumpeter crying through his mouthpeice, into his trumpet and into your hearts. Life is good.

  • @actorcop1971 That was incredibly inspiring.

  • six people are disappointed by the fact that they cant be moved by such beautiful music

  • Staring out of me window in london, watching the rain, listen ing to this.... Bliss

  • I don't know why, but this is the best background video for this masterpiece of music. "It's always yourself you find in the sea." e.e. cummings.

  • Here, no jazz, no be bop, no trompettist, just music.

  • I could smoke this post it's so good!!!

  • Beauty surrounds you from this introspective and brooding display of fine Jazz at it's finest.Perhaps one of the most stunningly pretty piano solos I love from Bill Evans.Every artist from Miles, John,Cannonball,Paul each grab the Art brush and collaborate to bring their love for Blue in Green

  • The real composer of this tune was/is Bill Evans - Miles even apologized to Bill for having the credits in his name!

  • God was speechless after listening to this song for the very first time. Masterpiece.

  • no es casualidad que nadie que hable español se acerque a este sonido, silencioraps en la ceremonia!!

  • Very Zen!

  • This is Miles and Bill Evans as One! There is also a covered version by Jean Carne. Lyrics by her former husband Doug Carn. They keep the same arrangement.

  • Wonderfully haunting; You can almost feel his soul!

  • Yes, I've been feeling like this for about four days. I'll go out and try to catch a patch of blue sky in this grey ocean sky. Stay up for me peeps and mostly for yourselves.

  • Sand Castles. That's life

  • this song reminds me of a detective in new york walking around late at night in his big trench coat and its rain hard

  • @graysonification Ha ha ha

It's so funny you say that because I pictured the same when i first heard it. lol and then maybe a 1940's black and white movie style detective monologue. "It was a cold night ....and it had just begun" ha ha

  • Makes up for all the terrible noise I am surrounded by daily.

  • @rikharde86

it is amazing all the bad sounds that come at us.

it is so good to know that these sounds are here for us!

  • @anelegantsolution

so sad man.... they really effed it up good this time!

  • sitting on the beach with my best friend, having a beer. Miles watches over us.

  • nothing tops this as far as being the mood with a Wine-light sky and crystal moon beams in the sky with a cool breeze along beach. I could go on for years.....love Bill Evans and Miles Davis collaborations.

  • just broke up, walkin' the night - somewhere it rains, maybe it's me

  • They killed it with this song... Miles and Bill...stars and planets aligned when they composed this.

  • Thank you for posting this, it's amazingly wonderful.

  • Miles was genius

  • Bill Evans' sound always gives me visions of crystal clear water falls... a meditation on the movement of water. This entire album was a perfect storm of exquisite beauty.

  • @LuizPagan Beautiful words friend.

  • This is very Wabi Sabi.Just beautiful, nostalgic melancholy.

  • And so castles made of sand slips into the sea, eventually

  • great song... even greater video! amazing... such simplicity and yet so much complexity!

  • questa è musica divina..è qualcosa di superiore alle possibilità umane..quindi o siamo noi gli alieni o loro!

  • This is the sort of music, that feeds your soul, takes you away,to another place, far from the hustle, bustle and stress of life nice tune to wind down to thank you for this beautiful video.

  • gives me chills. everybody has there own thing with this song, but they all share this one kind of feeling, kind of blue, something about this tune everyone relates to

  • This is the best song to listen to after making love... Just so intimate and sensual...expressive, real. Lying in the dark... deep, reflective pillow talk about life, love, the nature of reality...as the rain patters against the window pane...

  • @jazzinnature081 I think, Kind of blue is the best album to listen to before and after making love.

  • this song is educational

  • this is the most beautiful video EVER!

  • This reminds me sooo much of my childhood trips to Lake Michigan. Thanks very much!

  • Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful... The best video and music I've seen here. Thanks!!! This is a "translation" of the music in images. THANKS!

    Blue in Green.

    nice water.. nice clouds..

    nice nice Miles

  • is there any better

  • So so so good

  • so so so good

  • Es increible la intensidad que tiene este tema.Una de las grandes obras del jazz sin lugar a dudas .

De la mano de uno de los mas grandes musicos de la galaxia.

  • really really great video. loved it. made me want to listen to davis while swimming :P

  • Despite it being a cliché, I hear this and think smokey New York Bar at the start of a detective movie, not the Beach

  • i think thats what makes this video really cool. The "director", shall we say, has envisioned a different setting for this song, one that makes most sense to them.

  • milles davis em kind of blue, simples demais, nunca vi um comentario em portugues! vamos lá.

  • one of my favourite miles davis songs. always moves me.

  • If you actually went out there with a lunch pail to learn language in school that is pretty cool. Where did you attend?

    Five stars.

  • Voor mijn allerliefste Marduk!! xxx oma Gaby

  • very nice

  • "...and so castles, made of sand, melt into the sea...eventually".

  • @flipwiggins

If you've ever read Miles Davis' autobiography, he jammed with Hendrix and his funeral was the last he ever went to. He had very high opinions of the man. Perfect that you quote one of his best songs in this video, especially when they soundly resemble the mood brought about by one of Miles' most lovely and nostalgic tunes :)

  • @BloggerMusicMan There's an old :30 Calvin Klein spot that I always loved that reminds me of this video. I could only find it one place on Youtube...WJW/CBS promos and local spots 10/1991 part 3"

It's 1:04 in on the reel and only lasts :30, but I think it's worth a look. I always saw it around Labor Day weekend, and it sort of wrapped up the summer with its' feel.

  • @flipwiggins thats good stuff.

  • This song is wonderful, I don´t have words to express my feelings when I hear Blue in green...

Miles you´re the Prince (Charlie Parker is the King).

  • great great stuff! thanks.

  • simply amazing..

  • qué cosa más hermosa...

  • I'm only 45 and I love this song!

  • I heard this song for the first time at the age of 17 and I fell in love with it...never has a song made me feel so many different emotions at once. I am 26 and to this day, I listen to this song on a normal basis.

  • i may only be 16 but i know what real music is...i mean just listen its vibes it sends chills down my spin and gives my mind the peace that may just be one of the sweetest pleasures it may have ever known...i haven't heard this song in a while but im glad i found it again

  • I am also sixteen and I feel the same way about this piece. I'm glad I'm not the only one of my age that appreciates good music :)

  • What a beautiful combination of music and video... 1000 out of ten :D

  • I don't find words to describe how perfect this music is...

  • Good God- what an incredible video- I've just finished my third glass, and this blew my mind. Thanks!

  • music that describes me, calm.

  • The video is perfect for this. I always envisioned this track being the perfect soundtrack for being lazy on a day and just enjoying everything while watching other people be busy and worked too hard. Music that fits any kind of scene or weather, like this, is always the best

  • this is the best i have to agree.

  • Beautiful Background, great for beautiful music....

  • Who Is playing With miles on this record?

  • really awesome musicians

  • the maker of the tune.

    the legendary Bill Evans

  • John Coltrane, Jimmy Cobb, Bill Evans, Cannonball Adderly, Wyn Kelly, Paul Chambers... best album of all time perhaps

  • I believe its Miles Cannonball Adderly, John Coltrane and Bill Evans on Piano.. I forget whos on Bass and Drums....

  • Beautiful melody so nice and relaxed

  • who can play it better than miles?

  • none

  • Als je het over lounge muziek hebt is dit het ultieme nummer, helaas kent de jongere generatie deze muziek niet of nauwelijks. Ik gelukkig wel. grtz

  • Rain drenched evening in 1962,wet bricks, hulking old buildings rising into the gloom above the streetlights.....skid row in Missoula,Montana....sitting just inside the open widow of a candlelit 4th floor apartment....this playing on the old Webcor....watching the rain.......

  • Masterpieace! Greatest song of teh 20th century imo.

  • Miles Davis, I don't know what to say but thanks for providing stories for my nights.

  • Its like stepping through a door and being totally immerse in a continuum of soft reds and yellows.

  • This piece was played at my uncle´s funeral.

It`s like a life retrospective with the whole range of emotions.

  • This song puts me at peace with the world. I start thinkin about all the wonderful things people do and the way they interact with eachother and how mother nature can be the most emotionally stimulating thing a man can have(no im not a hippee)Miles davis was a very unique man.~hence the unique piece of jazz ur listening to~Not alot of people understand exactly what his songs mean{what his stories tell}The people that did were either other musicians in his time or people studying those musicians.

  • Ah yes...one of my all time favorites. I need to work (or try) this out on the guitar...thanks for sharing it.

  • respectfully, a rainy city street or cityscape at dusk would be the likely choice. I thought the grainy vhs quality beach footage was surprisingly moving. it takes me back to the days of Mr. Rogers when you'd see silent footage of people making things in a factory set to that good jazz piano.

  • Mr. Roger's show was my first exposure to jazz music (when I was around 4 or 5?). Also, the Charlie Brown holiday specials with Vince Guaraldi's piano jazz. It's amazing how something like an old cartoon from childhood can shape an entire lifetime of musical & artistic tastes. :0)

  • That comment was for roodoods, btw. Also, while I personally think of a rainy, deserted NYC street at 3am when I hear this tune; I also really like PaulHazel's beach scene interpretation. Different, but really moving.

  • indeed, what meaning does life hold if we don't have fools to laugh at?

  • fuck off

  • imitation is suicide my friend

  • OMG Thankyou soooooooooooooooooooo much for posting this song!! ive been trying to find out what it was called for years and im talkin about 10yrs now, i heard the first few seconds of it but didn know which miles davis track it was, ive jus been goin through some on youtube for the last few days on the off chance and now ive found it! 10yrs of searching over lol. its so sad, romantic, haunting and beautiful, you gotta love this song x

  • one of the best songs ever

  • So sad and so beautiful....

  • Every time I hear this Miles song. I realize. Life is tough. For everybody. No matter how down you feel. Miles reminds you.

  • whenever i hear this song, i think of a man sitting alone at a bar, sipping away the loneliness. he hears this song and it's like miles is speaking to him; he feels that finally, someone else understands him.

the loneliness of existence, the ever-present discomfort, just under the surface, the lack of clarity of purpose. he's felt somewhat close to people, but it's never been enough, never truly satisfying. life is bittersweet.

  • i remember myself in san-sebastian many years ago. it was rainy rainy september after the film festival. i used to seat before the big window in one little seashore restaurant, looking on the rain drops endlessly going by the glass of the window.and the "blue in green" was playing...it hurts...

  • I first heard this song when I was young...

It was during a summer, and the sun had just gone down, so you can see a faint color in the sky of the sun getting engulfed into the evening. I was sitting on a lawn chair & my feet were touching the grass...I was looking up at they sky and thinking that I would never forget that moment - listening to this song & how beautiful that night was...

  • that bill evans is really something huh!

  • Wonderful song !!! Listen "almost blue" (Chet Baker)

    ...

Yes, i know...i'll never see you bab'. i know ...that

    "almost blue" ! ;-)

i wanna hear your voice once again

    I can't do anything, and i can't live

    What other angel save me?

    call me baby

' love you so Gwen, j't'aime tant Bébé, j'deviens fou

    Blue in DREAM

  • FISZ - POLEPIONY

  • Nice film, sets the mood well on this Davis Masterwork.

  • The Art of Life living in sound. Captured in forever.

  • My favorite Miles cut. Thanks.

  • Pure perfection. The greatest piece of music ever composed and recorded featuring Coltrane's most beautiful solo ever. This is IT for me, my favourite piece of music of all time.

  • I'll give that a listen to, Benny. I like Bill Evans' work anyway. thank's for the tip...

    Muhldoon.

  • A lot of people don't know this but this song was cut in 1959 or 1958. Bill Evans on piano has his own solo of this particular tune. Miles Davis and Bill Evans catapulted the whole smooth jazz craze and era. Being that I played the sax growing up I hate contemporary jazz, I prefer the Stan Getz, The Monk, and the real heavyweights. Miles is my all time favorite Jazz musician, take nothing from it. But you gotta hear Bill Evans solo on the album Portraits In Jazz Bill Evans Trio - Riverside.

  • I'll check it out.
