  • you do know that Barlow didn't write this song even though it might be at the top of his range he is still the voice of Iced earth and ripper has nothing on him!!!!!!! BARLOW FOREVER!!!!

  • ripper is great

  • People are going to hate me... But I prefer Owens... sorry

  • @Rahavin1 Me too.

  • holyfuck is that barlow with small hair???????????

  • Barlow is so out of tune xD They should play it lower. It's to high for him.

  • @kranen1 listen to songs like Dracula and then think about what u writen ;)

  • Oh no Someone called me a fagot on the internet.

  • Barlow does a good job but his voice does not have the power that Tim has. Good thing he only has to sing 1 song that Tim did or he blow out his voice.

  • i feel like beating the crap out of myself for not being able to see Matt when they came here on the Crucible of Man tour :,(

  • @Broly0013 i got to see em and meet jon in michigan for that tour he signed a poster

  • stu block sings this right? owens did a biiiig work here

  • They should have lowered the key for Barlow to sing more powerfully in his range. They prob tried but lowering the key but sometimes it alters the songs feel too much. His high pitching sounds great but Barlow shines in the low register songs!

  • sorry but the singer here sounds like shit.

  • @noexistence11 you have to see a doctor for your ears

  • @noexistence11 you sound like shit. let me hear you sing declaration day as good as barlow

  • Wow, he can still scream like a madman! Both Matt and Ripper are amazing singers, and they did stellar jobs during their respective eras with the band. But to me, Matt will always be THE voice of Iced Earth. It's very sad that he left again, but I can't blame him because he decided to put his role as a family man above everything else, and you gotta respect anyone that does that.

  • ripper is ripper and barlow is barlow imo

  • This is a Tim "Ripper" Owens IE song...Matt just doesn't sound right for this song...Both are awesome, but it would be like Halford singing Priest songs from Jugulator or Demolition...just not the same...Tim is Unique...he can sound like the others, but they can't sound like him...if that makes sense

  • This was Barlow's last show... and this is one hell of a good show to go out with

  • Don't like this singer. This song is better with Ripper

  • @crazzy696 you trollin'?

  • @RitchieB100 no! but you?

  • @crazzy696 No, but your comment is pretty trollish.

  • Even if for me Tim Owens is the best Iced Earth singer ever, I have to admit that Barlow sings this song awesome. As good as the Ripper!

  • Me encanta el tema \m/

  • Iced FUCKING Earth ρε πουστη

  • Looks like Bruce Dickinson.

  • @amoghgulwady this was my second year there in a row! & I went all the way from India!

  • Metal completes me like no woman ever could! \m/

  • at 2:58 even the last ripper fan has to admit that he doesn't stand a chance against barlow.

  • @MParseface38

Really? He is sharp on quite a few notes, especially the last one. Nice tone though. Tim has far better control on his highs but Matt has *incredible* low/mid notes and is a far more creative singer.

  • @AMiGR667 Better sharp than flat :)

  • @MParseface38 nothing more to add! matt should have done the glorious bourden records to the end ^^ in this vid matt kicks rippers ass a thousand times or more =)

  • @MParseface38 after the performance that was on the Festivals of the Wicked DVD I can totally agree with that comment, he was horrible, I saw them live on the Glorious Burden tour, and Owens was great then, still cant touch barlow though

  • @MParseface38 He actually sounds like hes straining a lot. While Tim Owens does this with no effort.

  • @TheHumanCondition09 And putting no effort in your singing is a good thing? The reason he is straining is because they have different ranges. The fact that he can sing it at all without going falseto is impressive, singing it that well is mind blowing.

  • @yoyojoe22 What I meant was that Barlow sounds like he's gonna rip his vocal chords and doesn't really have the power to hold these notes. Although he manages to do it despite their range difference, he is definitely not doing it better than Owens. That's a ridiculous statement.

  • @MParseface38 I simply don't understand why people are hating on Tim Owens so much. I understand that Matt is a fan favorite kinda like Bruce Dickinson is considered by many to be THE voice of Iron Maiden. But IMO Tim is an awesome singer, both in terms of range and emotion. Besides, Jon let Matt go in 2003, so what was he to do? He had to find a singer and, as far as im concerned, Tim was a perfect fit and he did a great job on both The Glorious Burden and Framing Armageddon.

  • @HellsAsylum i agree with you man. Owens did indeed add a special and unique element to iced earth when Barlow left. In my opinion Tim is a great vocalist, and so is Barlow..but they are simply not comparable. They have very different, but powerful voices. They both made Iced Earth there own.

  • @HellsAsylum

don't get me wrong, i like the ripper too, but i don't think he's suited to sing the IE-classics. i've seen him with yngwie malmsteen and dio disciples and he did a fantastic job.

  • @MParseface38

Nope, Ripper is the more skilled singer. He's very, very good, but Barlow has the better voice, a special voice which touchs your soul and that makes him so popular.

  • @MParseface38 Some songs were MADE for Ripper but Barlow IS Iced Earth.

  • @MParseface38 absolutely true

  • @rossapher24 thanks!it was so great!

  • I was there in front row, fucking amazing!!

  • loved to be there :)

  • Anyone else notice that the guitar Troy is using looks like it's been through hell and back? :)

  • Bloody awesome. Wish they could have come down here to India, before Matt leaving. Goosebumps as I watch this. Iced fucking Earth. \m/

  • Thank you so much for uploading! I totally missed the live stream. The passing of an era!

  • Yep, I watched this stream yesterday, and they started with Burning Times... lol so sad this was Matt's last show. :(
