This reminds me of one of my sons books called "Thunder Cake" Its a Russian childs story. The woman who wrote it tells about her Grandma and how they shared stories and weathered the storm making "Thunder Cake" You have a great heritage and it would make many great stories.

yeah, in my town in Ireland,
Travellers occasionally go to school with us
but gypsies don't often. there is only one gypsy girl who works in a shop in our town. It is a beauty shop and she is gorgeous.
but there are many travellers and the travellers tend to be more violent and modern, the gypsies tend to be more old fashioned.
