  • What kind of gym plays Alice in Chains? I've gotta join this gym.

  • get rid of the foam pad and then maybe i'll say thats a legit squat

  • @Puzzle303 maybe your a retard who likes damaging his bones? you have to gradually adjust to dense pressure on your bones. Silly people without no science behind the technique,

  • @azzzz9375 when you're squatting 475 for reps i think it's safe to say you've adapted to the pressure of the bar. and there really isn't ANY science behind wearing a pad on the bar. i think you'd struggle to find a single VALID study.

  • That is strength right there.

  • How can he has this form ? This is like the best squat form i have ever seen, and i have viewed quite a lot squating videos :O

  • Great form!!!

  • Wayne you have the best form and strong as fuck!

  • awesome form and a crazy amount of weight for atg squats!!!

  • 25 PEOPLE CAN'T SQUAT!!!!!

  • I need that pad for the bar!! Any suggesstions??

  • @baywatchrules12 Do hip shrugs, i will strenght your neck, so you can place the bar on your trapezius without it hurts, i heard it works ;)

  • heavy and a lot of sets..and he is doing all set with a decent form.unlike branch warren

  • Beast technique. Nice squats!

  • Bluddy awesome video. Makes me wanna go to gym and squat as well.

  • This dude prob has about a 45 inch vert

  • I'm confused, what is there to dislike about this video?? great technique, good heavy ass weights, good stuff bro

  • @Sim86 Real simple my friend. Haters are always gonna hate! Haters always have to pick apart something even if it's perfect, why? Because they are insecure little faggots!

  • Holy fuck thats tank, r u spost to go that low?

  • @TheKinggypsi Yes, this is what is known as a proper squat

  • I've been doing the 20 rep squatting program which is very hard to do. Has someone done this workout? And if yes for how many weeks did you did it?

  • @pvsg1990 Got that from the hodge twins, right? lol...

High reps builds up muscle, low reps builds up strength... you need strength so you can lift heavy with high reps.... so switch it up in between work outs....

  • @FedArteUrbano i got it from beyond brawn. And i have been trying for about 2 months now. And it seems like my body can't handle it any more. I am stuck at 170 pounds and i always fail at about 14 reps. I guess i will have to switch to low reps with heavier weight.

  • @pvsg1990 dude you're probably a little overtrained. After 6-8 weeks of hard training your body needs some extra rest time to recover. My humble advice would be to rest a full week, then go about 20 lbs lower than your max and increase 5 lbs every workout and you'll probably get past that plateau pretty easily. And yes, I'd suggest 10-15 reps instead of 20 until you build up more strength IMHO

  • Dude dont go that low. Your legs will be sore for a week everytime. Not only it will take 5 min to sit your ass on the toilet to drop a deuce, people will start thinking you've been having butt sex

  • perfect cant tell if thats 100% atg angles a bit out but thats further than a box squat.

  • flawless. and freakin strongg

  • his form is perfect. I don't know what those guys are talking about

  • Great squat, notice how he goes into the squat like he's sitting back. His upper body remains upright the entire time (sign of a strong posterior chain, and excellent obliques). By keep his upper body straight, he can direct all of the weight directly over his heels, allowing for the power transfer from his legs to go directly through his squat, simple mechanics. This is a great video to show beginners looking for tips.

  • this is the best form i have ever seen

  • king of serious mass building - the squat

  • nice pyramid, good form. beastly.

  • show some respect y'all! the guy deserves it!

  • daaayum!!

  • Best squats on youtube!

  • Your squats are awesome.

  • @LSU014 Ikr this guy's form was excellent

  • Thats literally incredible!! I wish i could squat like that. The best squatting I have ever seen, and i'm willing to put money on never seeing squatting as good as that ever again!! So Jealous haha

  • strong brotha. makes it look ez but that shit is something mst people will never accomplish

  • Id be scared to lift that... let alone walking away from the frckn rack!!

  • who the fuck is whining about form!!???

  • i personally think that was PERFECT form!!!

  • @silentsmokey agreed on 'perfect' form.... id like to see him do a lowbar squat...

  • Awesome work from Wayne! he had to walk all the way out the rack with the weight (and back in again) no spotters and ass to the ground no pussy whipped, half assed squats here! Wayne, if you haven't already done so give Powerlifting a go!

  • damn this is probably the best squating iv ever seen

HAMSTRINGS TO CALVES ON EVERY REP BABY!!!!

  • i love how he only does the reps that he is able to explode through. no point of forcing out slow reps on a power exercise. speed is the key! a slow contraction is the last place you want to be when training for power.

  • Best form I've ever seen

  • great form! heavy ass atg squats put some hair on your ass!!

  • I can't do that.

  • God I love deep squats.

  • Beast!

  • The 24 dislikes are from the idiots who try to tell you that going all the way down is bad for you.

  • horrible form and I can do double that hahaha jk just making fun of the 15 year old arnolds out there, shi*s impressive!

  • im not far from this cat and im black to

  • @MATT111MARTIN cool beans cous

  • To all those who are whining about form - shut the fuck up and go back to doing your douche-bag isolated, overhead, one-arm, cable extensions on some faggy nautilus machine. Leave the real lifting to the real men who know that real muscle comes from squats, benches, deadlifts, bent over rows, cleans, pull-ups, dips and more SQUATTING. Leave the lifting to the guys who do what it takes to make it fuckin hurt.

  • @AChildOfBodom667 Lol at Child of Bodom the Lake going nuts here, if you think squatting is supposed to be painful you're a fucking dramaqueen, I bet you wear black eyeshadow to the gym.

  • @chvyant Black? I was always more partial to blue eyeshadow at the gym. Brings out my eyes while I stare at my 8-pack and gently go through a full-range of motion, ensuring that bicep is fully contracted at the peak of the movement, hold for a 2 count, then lower it back down. Then I look at the guy squatting two times his body weight and wonder why anyone would train legs? The chicks only see your arms bro!

  • @AChildOfBodom667 I started lifting two months ago. I decided to make majority of my exercises to be compound movements (squats, Romanian deadlifts, military presses (in front and behind the neck), flat and incline bench, bent-over barbell rows, lat pulldowns, upright barbell rows, pullups...). I made myself a goal not to neglect legs. When I started, I squatted 30kg for 8 reps, and now after 2 months I'm squatting 62 kg for 15 reps. In your opinion, is that good progress? I weight 75 kg. Thx...

  • @smoothMousePad When you're lifting you're own bodyweight - you're making progress, thats the first big goal. Then you want to start aiming higher - I'd say just keep working and forget about anyone else and what they do or how they look.

  • @smoothMousePad By the way - those movements are a weightlifters wet dream, you will never get big without those movements.

  • @AChildOfBodom667 this dude's form is perfect though

  • does he even lift?

  • How does this guy manage to squat low and at the same time keep his back upright and straight? When I squat my back tends to lean forward

  • @lorddarunia he arches his back.

  • @Sivels Aren't you suppose to arch your back when going down and use the hip to drive it up without rounding?

  • @dinamiaesthetics Yes. That's how I do them, works fine for me, my legs are massive, lol

  • @dinamiaesthetics Okay, I do that, but how come I can't go lower? I go lower though ever since I've been practicing good form, but I wanna' hit the calves like this guy. What do I need to do? I'm a tall guy by the way.

  • @lorddarunia Your need to strengthen you back muscles. Try seated good mornings.

  • @lorddarunia It requires flexibility (which comes from squatting regularly and stretching) and also you will note the high bar position allows his back to remain upright while keeping the centre of mass over the centre of his feet. If you are doing a low bar position squat you will lean forward a bit, you should still be able to hit parallel. A more upright back (which can also be achieved with front squats) allows you to go deeper without back rounding. I'm no pro though so I might be mistaken.

  • @lorddarunia --That form is sick good, huh. He is able to maintain a vertical back because he knees are moving forward. That is just some solid ass form.

  • @lorddarunia strong legs

  • @lorddarunia A part probably is anatomy, BUT you could use weightlifting shoes. They have a really high heel, which all weightlifters use to squat high bar ATG with an upright back. This way anybody can squat like this, only things like foot stance and stuff might be different.

  • @lorddarunia Strong Ab's and high bar style (Olympic style) helps to go up and down straight. I too have the problem you have I just have to work on it you will get there don't give up!

  • @mikesbbody Strong abs? You mean strong core. The strong core only prevents your torso from collapsing at the bottom of the squat. Ankle mobility is actually the reason

  • @JordanSpecops123 yeah, you know what I mean :-) a strong core is vital and was always my problem. With a Heavy weight I would often come up out of the squat "bent over" hardly ideal form! everyone has abs but most people have fat covering them. We had a lifter who could squat about 700 pounds he had a big gut but it was solid like a wrecking ball seriously! LOL.

  • @lorddarunia Ankle mobility ankle mobility ankle mobility. Dont believe me. Put an inch plates under your heels then squat. Are you more upright? Work on ankle mobility

  • @JordanSpecops123 With more ankle mobility your knees shoot out in front of your toes, so isn't that bad for you?

  • @lorddarunia Knees shooting out in front is only bad if you already have really bad knees. Take a look at olympic weightlifters when they squat. Their knees pass their toes. Plus they wear shoes with heels.

  • @JordanSpecops123 I've seen people do that I'm a little scared to try it for fear of falling forward! I see there are special squatting shoes (I've never had them) others swear by Chuck Taylor's.

  • @mikesbbody Start of basic bodyweight squatting and goblet squatting. Then move to front squats and then back squats like this. Chucks other than weightlifting shoes are the best for squatting as they dont roll and have a hard heel

  • @JordanSpecops123 Thanks! I have never tried Goblet squats or front Squats only Low Bar style from my Powerlifting days. I'm trying Olympic style squats now with the idea that I'll come up straighter (lighter weight higher reps (8) as opposed to heavier weights Low Bar style for 5 reps. BTW, I tried for fun to get into some of my old lifting suits Tonight wow! pretty tight!...I've sure put on a few pounds LOL! looks like it will be just the belt for me! Thanks for the tips!

  • @lorddarunia watch?v=BsRVH8dwDDM

  • @lorddarunia Take a good look at his butt as he squats... it goes back a lot, and that's the secret to successful squatting. It's all about hip drive. I think that if you practice this you will make yourself some powerful glutes and quads.

  • @lorddarunia

Maybe you are not flexible enough, I recommend to stretch your whole body before bedtime. Takes like 15min, moreover, it helps you sleep better.

  • @lorddarunia deadlifts

  • @lorddarunia

Strong legs I would think. I think you should keep doing the same weight until you can force your back straight.

  • @lorddarunia It's been 2 months so somebody has most likely commented, but, it's mainly due to bio-mechanical differences and flexibility. We are all different be it limb lengths, muscle lengths etc.. If I go past parallel my lower back starts to round so as long as I hit parallel I consider it a good squat. BTW no matter your bio-mechanical makeup there is NO excuse for quarter squats!

  • @rxp758 I should probably add that I'm talking about low bar squats. High bar and the main limiting factor is probably flexibility.

  • @lorddarunia he is more flexible than you. stretch your hamstrings

  • Comment removed

  • @lorddarunia It might be a function of your anthropometry, but more likely, it's that you're taking a super low bar position on your back. Try resting it more towards your neck and you will see a more vertical torso.

  • @lorddarunia hey man I used to have the same problem! you need to work on your hamstring and hip flexor flexibility....your back is leaning forward because you need to become more flexible in those areas....I would recommend stretching targeting your hamstrings and hip flexors....Also you can look up at the ceiling when your standing up and that will help ensure your back stays straight...

  • good shit... finally someone sports good form over weight (you happened to do both) lol

  • Tough dude, excellent work, excellent form! Strong!

  • Perfect! this is one of the best squatting vids i have seen.

  • So basically you just go down like a woman go down in bed.. I don't understand why people always say use proper form.. If a woman can go down on me then definitely I can go down using weights..

  • The barbell doesn't bend or make the noise that such a heavy weight would.

  • @Kreimehn The barbell doesn't make sounds. The barbell doesn't bend under only 475lbs.

  • @yuppyguitar1 I'm referring to the clanking of plates loaded onto a barbell, and my barbell begins to bend, even though it is very small at a little over 400. I don't see that bend here or the normal accompanying noise.

  • @Kreimehn Looks like he's using rubber coated plates. Mine don't clank. My barbell doesn't bend either. I don't squat 475, but you can find numerous examples youtube of people using that weight and the barbell neither bands nor do the plates clank.

  • @yuppyguitar1 If you have 400 plus on your back, you will feel the bar bend on the way up, and the bar will flap a bit at the completion of the movement. I don't see it here, but this probably a newer bar and the plates may be rubber coated. Still, the load does not behave the way i know a heavy load should, but whatever.....

  • @Kreimehn I've squated 395 and never felt the bar bend, but the bar is clearly flapping at the top of his reps in this video.

So whats your conclusion? This guy who is quite built and who looks like he could easily handle that kind of weight but doesn't have the exact same bar as you is just pretending to get some cred from people he doesn't know on youtube?

  • @yuppyguitar1 If you ever squatted 400 +, the bar bends even if it is new. The fact that you had no idea that the bar bends is proof that you never did 400 + because you would have noticed.

I am making a claim. I noticed that the load does not have the physical dynamics of a heavy load. It looks strange to me, and quite fake. I wanted to see if anyone had noticed the same thing. I have no opinions or comments about the man in the video.

  • @Kreimehn But your claim was wrong, because as I already mentioned, the bar very clearly bends at the top of his reps. Maybe you need to go back and watch it again.

  • @yuppyguitar1 Ok, i at least see the flap at the top of the movement, and the plates look rubber-coated. Now i am pissed because he is training with better equipment than i have. What a coincidence that i am about to squat right now.

  • I'm a little confused. I keep hearing how squats increase your vertical leap, but for me it seems like it's actually decreasing what my plyometrics have done for me. Any pointers?

  • @jmk0309 Keep squatting but make sure you dont slack on your cardio and other training and dont gain too much weight. as long as you keep getting pound for pound stronger you will be fine. I am a long jumper in college and i squat 425lbs for max below paralel

  • @jmk0309 There is an inverse relationship between absolute and explosive strength. How is your max squat lately? On the increase? This may be why, or you could be over-trained and out of the zone, and perhaps this is the reason that everything is suffering.

  • mean cuz

  • squat deep or go home. this should be the "Back Squat Form" Video.

  • One of the reasons why I wished I was black

  • @TigerArm93 lol u dont have to be black to do that.

  • great set, great song!

  • Nice form, with heavy weight. Tom Platz style!

  • Beast!

  • wtf is with the knee wraps? seriously, mine as well put a spring under your ass as dorian yates once said,

dont understand squatters and there crutches, just take some more patience and time to get there with out all the aids, your only fooling yourself really

  • @beast36001 Priceless advice from someone who clearly knows. You tell him "beast".

  • @astonrd you know your a beast when your one favourited video is of optimus prime!

  • @beast36001 yatesy had countless knee problems, he told me. Wrap up kids.

  • @beast36001 Yeah i cant stand crutches either. I squat and dead raw, and maybe add a belt, not so tight, in case of an accidental shift. Form over weight, and the weight will come.

  • great squatting man...forms pretty damn close to being perfect haha but i feel bad u have to walk the weight out soo far b4 u actually squat, it makes it that much harder

  • nice squats. but i hate these racks they suck

  • Smooth as butter

  • i dont understand whenever i am squating and i go deep people start telling me that going deep will injure knees and cause back problems , flippin hell thi scares me for no reason !. Anyway well done !.

  • good deep squatting

  • That's pretty sweet man, especially for a dude with a smaller build, no disrespect. and very clean form, that's actually better than some of the shitty instructional video's on here. I squat with flat soled shoes, for more balance and stability, it also helps to keep more of the weight on your heels, you should try it, it will make a big difference. keep squattin heavy man!

  • @ConanTheSavage Same. Started squatting in barefoot and improved alot. Same with deadlifting.

  • @ElYellowBoi Yea, deadlifting feels much better barefooted

  • @ElYellowBoi That's awesome man!

  • YOU FUCKING MORONS...THE BROTHER IS DOING IT THE RIGHT WAY, NO CHEATING, NO HALF ASS, JUST PURE HEART AND SOUL.

YOU FUCKING MORONS WOULD NOT HAVE THE BALLS TO DO WHAT THIS BROTHER DOES......YOU ARE A BUNCH OF HATERS AND YOU CAN ALL KISS MY HALF BREED ASS.

  • @schiazzacmable Amen Bro.

  • Just love his "ahh" at 0:30

  • Very good and all, but I still have to go back to the fact that he has no rack or spotter. If he drops this, he's seriously hurt.

  • @frolfhaus21 Dropping the bar on the floor seriously hurts people. Right...who is gonna catch that amount of weight?

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx A rack would.

  • @frolfhaus21 And the floor would cave in, causing the earth to explode? What's wrong with the floor?

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx I'm not saying that I can do better, but it's not THAT ridiculous amount of weight. A rack would suffice.

  • @frolfhaus21 The floor also works...If you dump the bar I fail to see how you get hurt...

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx If you're down parallel, try to push up, and fail, then the weight is on top of you...

  • @frolfhaus21 look at krocs video where he squats 500 pounds 10 times. He tears his quad and still drops the weight. What is stopping him from dropping the weight here, he isn't doing 1 rep maxes.

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx 545* makes a diff man ;)

  • @muzimuzi 800 pounds, broz gym. Think its pat mendez. No spotters.

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx yea i know that one and im not sure if that would pass in a meeting , i know less bout squats than dead and bench but i never seen some1 that bounce so badly (alltho i know unlike the bench press u dont have to pause at the bottom) but thats strong regardless lol

  • Smooth as butter!

  • abso0lutely perfect man !

  • GREAT form!

  • form was perfect

  • very good form, strong dude

  • Great job!

  • haha using the pussy pad? what a bitch

  • Freaking amazing power, conditioning and solid form all the way. Serious respect.

  • how can anyone dislike this video?

  • tough guy ( :

  • Its rare to see such legit squats on youtube. Respect.

  • does going down so low have a negative effect on your joints? It just seems like it would. I'm asking out of cuiousity, not as an argument. I would think that long term effects would occur.

  • @ChadAndrewsLovesGod

If you have the flexibility and have healthy knees to begin with, your knees gonna love deep squats.

  • @ChadAndrewsLovesGod your hamstrings catch the weight when you go deep, not your knees. stopping halfway transfers all the pressure to your knees. therefore, deep squats are actually healthier for your knees, provided you are flexible enough to assume the position

  • @eowdaoc haha! ASSUME THE POSITION!

and yeah, no knee problems from ATG.

  • great squats

  • I have literally never seen squats better than this, if anything form is more impressive than weight for me....but this happens to have great weight too lol

  • and thats how you do SQUAT....

  • these are perfect squats

  • @morrieswigs Agreed. Your squats HAVE to be perfect to lift that kind of weight on a regular training basis right?

  • @bourquechris yes but there are people who try to lift too much weight and injure themselves because their form is poor

  • Great lifts! Excellent depth and form! No matter what haters on here want to say that is a LOT of weight to lift with such good form, All around strong dude, would be interested to know how heavy he is as he doesn't look much over 200lb which makes the lifts even more impressive.

  • I wish my music played alice in chains

  • pussy pad

  • @eowdaoc

Says the little pussy who deadlifts 440.

  • @Apjooz qq maybe i will be strawng one day

  • god form shity music lol

  • how the hell could 24 people dislike this video? This video is top notch. I like the numbers though. 24 haters to approximately 300,000 views.
