I wouldn't wash with the tea tree stuff. A saline solution and chamomile tea bag works best for cleansing and soothing afterwards.

Can you tell me whats the best way to clean inside your nose ? This is what happened to me, i Got my nose pierced for the first time a long time ago like june 6 2010 and i got it re opened a couple of times because it close on me. What i didnt know that nose piercings close fast a couple of hours with out the ring your are at risk of it closing, so this happened to me a couple of times and i got it repierced because i really love how the nose piercing looks on me. wow i should have watched this video, right after i got my nose pierced i played with it, and now i have that stupid kyloid on my nose so now im usuing tea tree oil on my nose to take care of that. but i am still using my anti-bacterial soap and still using the H2o salt water thing

I have a question, I have been wanting my nose pierced for a few months now but i am a competitive cheerleader and we cant wear them to practice. If I get my nose pierced the begining of August will I be able to take it out a month later? It will only be for like 2-3 hours like 3 days a week, do you think that would be okay or how long does it take to heal? Thatd be great if anyone could answer this! (:

@livelovebeauty22 obviously i'm not the girl in the video but, everyone has different healing times. some people just tend to heal faster than others, and some people take a long time. it also depends on how you treat it. what she said in the video was a pretty good guideline. never touch it with unwashed hands is the most important one of all i think. and you have to be careful not to irritate it by taking it out and putting it back in repeatedly, that can make it take longer also.

I just got mine pierced like 3 days ago. They say to spray the piercing with H2Ocean 4-6 times a day and clean it once a day with dial soap. it works really well and it heals up in about 6-8 weeks :)

I got mine 3 days ago and whenever I try to clean it on the inside ,it bleeds a little from the outside cuz I try to clean it in and out with a q tip dipped in water but I'm going to get sea salt tmrw.

I got my nose pierced yesterday ad I have no idea how long to leave it in for. I got mynostril numbed so I didn't feel the pain and i only clean quick around the piercing in and out. I think what you said was too too much. A little to much ARRGGHH if you no what i mean. As long as you clean your hnds dont touch it and clean it twice a day then everything will be fine. But if you guys do know the EXACT length of ime to keep a nose piercing in for then please reply!!

@xXRETROINDIEBABEXx For me, it didn't hurt at all when I got it pierced. It was sore for about 2-3 days afterward. The worst part was not being able to cover up the redness (lasted about 2 days) with makeup. I would ask your piercer what kind of soap they recommend. I didn't feel the need to numb it. The best way to prevent infection is to not touch it with unwashed hands! Keep up with the cleaning and you shouldn't have any problems! Good luck, enjoy your piercing, and everything will be fine:)

@Onenonly6250 I would suggest not putting any kind of concealer, foundation, etc. near the piercing for 6 weeks. I would still put make up on, but I would avoid that area. Congrats on your piercing!

@KristiniFifteenie i wasn't being funny. it's just in England the aftercare seems to be completely different to people in America. My piercer never mentioned anything to do with soap in the aftercare instrictions.

I think the reason many suggest soap is because that is used more for cleansing the piercing, whereas the sea salt soak is used more for preventing problems and speeding up the healing process. I'm sure it will be fine either way, I've cleaned my piercing like this for 8 weeks now and I am yet to have a problem. I watched your video and I noticed you just got your pierced, so I wish you the best! The nose piercing is a fun one to have :)

@BerryCherry333 Check with your school dress code first, because a lot of schools will make you cover it up. After you have it in for 6-8 weeks, you can put in a clear retainer when you go to school so you won't get in trouble. Neither of my parents knew either, I just came home with it one night lol. My mom wasn't excited about it, but she never got mad at me. Let me know how it goes and make sure you take care of it! :)
