I don't think this game will have so much of the same atmosphere and compelling feel to it as 2033, this is more of a human-related storyline, unlike metro 2033 where it was more like "fear of the unknown" and having more to do than just with humans

I don't think it should be sandbox, or linear. More like a balance of both, It should be big enough to allow multiple ways to get where your going... but not so big as to loose the sense of direction you have in a linear game.

The books are deep and reveal a lot about the history. It goes in-depth about the cause of the radiation, and the war between Hansa and the Red Line.

I hope they fix the problems with stealth weapons. I found that weapons with silencers and the throwing knives didn't connect like they should making stealth kills a lot more difficult than they should be. But I'm really looking forward to this game.

I think they should make a metro game where it is sanbox. Sort of like fallout 3 and NV with the side quests, and like you can explore the surface, and explore the stations. And then multiplayer.

side missons so like remember when the person your with asks if your ready to go if you say no you can wonder around and talk to someone to get a side mission like look for someone clean out some mutants such and such

for multiplayer i think they should add things like ither a deffend the station were you have fairly limited ammo and get rewarded ammo guns.

Metro 2033 one of the more underrated games I have played, also one that tricks me a little from time to time. The whole currency thing (I thought was pretty innovative) tricked me, I'd play this and be like "Oh... I don't have enough cartridges for this gun..." it seemed to want free roam but then it did it's set pieces so well it made free roam seem kind of pointless. My point is that it was a great game and good for them for getting the green light on a sequel.

I worry for the fate of this game. It will likely be better accepted by the majority of FPS players, but I fear it won't be as realistic as 2033. The shooting in 2033 was fine, the AI was a bit stupid, but that's all that needed to be fixed. I loved being forced to aim for gaps in my target's armor. People complaining about the shotguns obviously don't know that shotguns can't do shit to armor, that's why you only use them against mutants.

The stealth was good in 2033...

@ThiefFanatic Hate to go aginst you but shot guns can pierce armor and the stealth wasnt that best sometimes u could throw a knife at a guy with no armor and it bounced off his back and people complained about the shotguns because when someone gets shot by it they usually get pushed back a bit if you know what i mean but yes otherwise i thought it was a great game i liked stealth and all but i hope this one is even better!

They "Consulted" the original author. That is a really major turn off for me, because everybody knows game developers cant right for shit (i.e. Call of Duty). It would have been good for them to really base the game off of the squeal to the book. On the other hand, I am glad that they are fixing the mechanics. Not being able to kill enemies while they were in animations was really annoying.
